Well, have you heard of that article? (About 20 public school districts in the state teach American Sign Language to hearing students - pressofAtlanticCity.com: News)
book him!
Was it?
Come to think of it, the term is rarely used here at AD, but it's used to describe someone who is known for resorting to excessive expression of distress on a frequent basis.
It's astonishing how low someone will go to perceive something as a death threat and be serious about it. Ridiculous.
book him!

It's just amazing how easily one would feel threatened by a so-called death threat even though it's meant as a sarcastic remark. For instance, if somebody yells, "I'm going to kill you!" after I pull a prank on them. Do I take them seriously and call the cops?
No, because I know the difference between a sarcastic threat and a real threat. If people cannot tell the difference, then I feel sorry for them.
I'll have one put on him... *ominous music* and you... *giving you the stink eye*
Yep. So needy of attention.
Aw, shucks. That spray is too effective. Is it a permanent spray, does anybody know?

Reminds me of the article on that deaf professor who got fired over that so-called death threat.
