I can still use several U.S.-based VRS as long as I contact American companies and my relatives and friends in U.S.

His family does know computers; it is just that he can be quite socially infantile.

I have seen his family members expressing concern, interest or just affection to him and he will be passive/aggressive to them from previous ooVoo conversations.

This is why I have chosen to cease all conversations with Travis because he needs to learn he cannot demand everything his way which he has done so.

It is tiring and cumbersome dealing with an energy vampire.

I want to believe, I know frustrated. I know not fair to USA cheat to money. I heard someone told me USA said cheat to money tax. that is why point. deaf technology upset to convice to right human code CAD. I am not sure exactly why wrong problem USA FCC is implentation to people. I know sad I want to see wait for soon coming. I expect to long 2013 slow wait for till announce. I don't know.. I am guess. I know not easy.. I don't know when it. I am not sure how feeling communication to my family understand my sign language help confess communication to family easy simply. It is sad..

I am rid of oovoo is not good.... I dont know what is point. i am scared and not comfortable oovoo is not good many lie and gossip because reason oovoo is not good. I didn't want to hear about to feeling weak and want to courage to communication to deaf happy.. I know understand feeling hard to not easy perfect..

I am with you because I have read Travis's comments....it is very tiring...he is relying on AD for his help. We are not therapists or psychologists. All he needs is to discuss his issues with his psychologist, not throwing his problems at us...we are not certificated or licensed therapists/psychologists.

If I have severe issues, I will not post my shits on AD at all.. I keep my private stuff private...some people don't need to know.

I hope Travis keeps venting directly at his psychologist in private, not here on AD.

I know my psychiast private. not allow AD. That is why reason. I point important to better hope be plan do.. I want to see help communication to prviate viable vision and purple 3 that is important...
 
Videophones have been around for over 10 years now... How much more time does Canada need to wake up and provide even basic Text Relay for their deaf people !!!

It gotta do with the pseudo-monopoly that Rogers, Telus and Bell Canada have over the nation. I means, yeah, we have numerous carriers like Fido and Koodoo, but all of them so far are owned by one of those three telecommunications companies. It doesn't help that CRTC board members are composed of former higher-ups and CEOs of those telecommunications companies as well. So it's not hard for those three companies to manipulate the government to fulfill their own agendas; if they don't want to provide certain services, they can just manipulate the government into backing their decisions. Money talks. If it doesn't... we would have data-only plans by now, which a lot of hearing people wants and are demanding with no avail.

Problem is that we only got 30 million people residing in the world's biggest (or second biggest) country, so it's hard for a competitive market to emerge since we don't have the population to support more than a handful of companies to service the entire nation.
