I don't think I have any spirits roaming around in this house but I remember in my old house I grew up in, I'd feel some kind of draft coming in from somewhere in the basement (finished basement).. and there was no air conditioning or heat on, even the windows wasn't open. I'd go and walk upstairs to my bedroom.. I never liked going down there, but it was a rec room with the tv :|

BostonIce, to answer your question... yes. I do all the time, and if I allow myself to see them. I have a spirit friend, or guide.. that hangs out with me. I remember when I was little, I'd see people that seem real as you are, but nobody could see them. It wasn't until I started having intense dreams and experiences I couldn't explain, I decided to research in the area of the paranormal in '94. I don't mind sharing some of those experiences, and I did take a class in psychology as well. Freakychickiee said earlier that I am into the New Age thingie.. well sort of, but I like to keep a balanced view, and it doesn't hurt learning all kinds of things

hehe DOM, nice pic of you.. btw, ghosts can come in all colors and size, not just white mist. If you see something "white" you are just "starting" to see the whole thing. Consider this for a minute... what you see may be just the ghost's aura. This ghost could be alive, and have flesh in another realm. For a long time I thought ghosts were dead people. But I was proved wrong! If you can see other people's auras, then you can see ghosts.. vice versa.

It is said that we are spirit beings experiencing the physical side, and I agree with that.

There are people alive in every... what do you call it... dimension? To them we may show them only our ghostly auras

To those skeptics of you, I recommend for you to experience this yourself directly and don't just take our word for it! Do your homework. I was a total skeptic at the beginning, and I appreciate the value of being a skeptic. It helped me find my own truth, and prevents having "gospel" truth. Know what I mean?

Liza -- i would prolly have liked to have the ability to guide them to the other side if i knew where hte portal/vortex was -- it is visiable to a few ppl -- i only know 2 ppl that have that ability and 1 is from CO and the other one is from MO abt anyone around here that i know of --

but beyond that -- i would love to find out more abt the ghosts that show itself and/or make itself known that is around and why he/she is "stuck" on this plane when they should have already gone to the other side -- the only thing i can think of is some sort of aura causes them to stay stuck here due to something that was very negative to them happening to them during the 2 war eras ive mentioned earlier -- as for that female ghost seen in the upstairs part of the house -- i believe she may have been a wife (or mistress/lover) to a soldier from the 1800s and may have been travelling or hiding out and ended up on this part of land where she may have been killed and her soul either cannot accept that fact her mortal body is dead or doesnt realize she has been dead for years

i know there is a story about a ghost that likes to hang out somewhere on 1 stretch of the Capitol Beltway and has been seen by alot of ppl who has driven along that part of the Beltway (i think its in Prince Georges County) -- i dont know the in depth abt it but heard that story somewhere along with another story of the Walter Reed Army Annex Medical Center in Silver Spring -- it was origionally an elite girl's academy before it was taken over by the military for use as a hospital during the civil war -- i have been on the grounds there and its VERY negative -- so much sadness, despair -- i saw a door open at 1 bldg only to find it closed just 2 mins later and i knew nobody was in that bldg (it was a weekend) that place is on the records as historical landmarks and a group of ppl are trying to get it renovated to the state it was prior to the war -- the bldgs there are amazing!

I believe in ghosts because I have seen them in my life.

I saw a fade shadow of lady in my tv room (LV home) around 3 a.m. I sensed that there were a few ghosts roaming around my home because my dad thought I called his name. I did not call him at all. LOL Later, I learned that four Navajo indians and white lady were stuck in the land where my house now stands.

My friend who is psychic who sent them home via portal. Now, my house is very quiet unless one of them can check on me if I am ok.

I busted a black deity in my old apartment in SF at 3 a.m. because first, someone slapped my right arm in the dark (my hearing roommate was asleep). I woke up and saw the black spirit by the window. I realized that a spirit following me around until my shaman ordered it to go away. Finally, it stopped.

Over the times, I have seen some ghosts occassionally here. Right now it seems quiet lately.

Fly Free, I think you could. Guide those earthbound souls. I've done it a few times years ago. I remember the souls of those children being trapped by this old man's soul.. he abused and murdered them in life, and then he died. My mentor and I showed them the light, and they were happy to realize they were never really trapped. It just takes "imagination" and A. Einstein did say that imagination is more important than knowledge. So much in the human mind is so unchartered and not well understood even by many scientists today. It just takes redefining of many terms, and living up to them. :boink:

Give it a try and lemme know! Have you visited the Arlington Cemetry? On my last visit there, I realllllllyyyyy sensed many souls and some of them were YELLING at me. LOL! I was like, whoa! Javapride, if you ever are in Oahu - take a drive through H3 (one of the three highways, and the most recent built one)! You will find that to be a wild drive... H3 was built over sarced burial grounds of the ancient Hawaiians, and that got a lot of protesting from the locals but they built it anyway. There were unexplained accidents on that highway, but nothing happened to me at all. I just sensed a huge energy vortex there, and it seemed to be very strong and insistent on communicating.. but unfortunately, I wasn't open to communication just got loud buzzing and ringing in my head.

Oddball, that's pretty wild! You got slapped by a ghost. Haha. Actually, that totally reminds me when I was 7, I felt someone touching my wrist and hand... opened my eyes, and there was nobody there. I did feel a very loving and warm energy in the room. That was really cool. My mom totally believed me and still does to this day. I wasn't much of a liar as a kid and still lie badly. That helped, too. Ha. Oh boy, Oddball, I can relate to you. I on several occasions saw this man in bowler hat looking at me, by the window also, when I had my few OBEs (Out of body experiences). That was wild, too. He didn't say anything, though.

Wow, I've reading the interesting stories you got... I have one an experience myself.
One night when I was staying at my best friend's house (that looks like haunted house).. My best friend was telling me the story about ghost (her great grandma), and I was like it's can't be and didnt believe in her because I never seen one in my life. Anyway, when I was in bed in the guest room, I had funny feeling that someone is watching me sleep or laying on bed and I looked around where door is, nobody there. I felt soo annoyed and sensed to someone is in the conner (sp?) and watching me, so I forced myself to go sleep while I dont see nothing at the conner (sp?)... So, in the next day I told my best friend the story and she asked me where it was I said in the conner and she was like omg that's the excatly where her great grandma always like to stand there.. So ever since I believed in her and believes in ghosts. Oh yes, it was very spooky night for me!! lol

I do believe theres something out there..but I have never experienced anything with ghost...the super natural...etc..*whew*and hope i never do .... but my parents and my brothers have......only strange thing thats happened to me...was when my brother got married last year...my sister in law gave me 2 white roses..one for my mother..and one for my grandmother (both passed away within 2 years of eachother) well after the ceremony..my friends father found 2 extra roses...so I gave one to my friend..and I had 3....well after the reception...and partying....when I got home..I put the 3 roses on my desk.... when I woke up in the morning the 3 roses were still on my desk but there was an extra rose on the floor...
I like to think my mother has something to do with me not experiencing anything with ghost or spirits because she knew how I felt about the topic

Couple years ago, i was like 7,8 years old, i lived in the attic all alone, the room next to mine was living room..the house itself was built in 1900.. and there was a baby crying monitor..it would flash when my baby sister cry, that night i was sleeping and saw a flashing light but knew it was near and woke up and saw the living room lights flashing, i stared at the light switch and when it went dark i would see a girl that was in white mist and it had its hair to its legs i was scared.. (liittle kid that time..) i pulled mycovers over my head and fell asleep, it never happened again..

That's very, very special, Pix! I agree with Fly. I've always believed that death is truly not the "end." In various places, it has been taught that it is, but it is not. I believe in Mexico or some place, they celebrate death because they see it as a wonderful change for the loved one, and they celebrate life as well.. so they normally wear white clothes instead of black clothes. We honor our loved ones by doing the things we love in their memory. It would have been what my late grandfather wanted me to do, too.

Oh yes. Big Island - have you heard about the legend of Pele, the volcano goddess? When she is angry, she erupts... watch out! Pele is very well known to the locals. It is bad luck removing a rock or stuff from her sarced site/s. The tourist center receives many many rocks in the mail from the guilty! LOL! Apparently they had bad luck until they returned those lava rocks. This was shown on a special in Hawaii, whoa. Also there is a story about a famous actress having been saved along with the natives in Big Island by Pele herself. It was in the 1960's or perhaps even earlier. One day, this actress met an old woman in white... the old woman told her that a great calamity was approaching and that she had to leave soon. The actress was shocked, but did leave... then this tsaumai wave hit where she was staying! OMG! The actress was freaked out and really glad at the same. LMAO! Hmm, this old woman was Pele.. they say... she also comes in the guise of a young woman.

I'd have to say that Maui is well known to be the most spiritual of all the Hawaiian islands.

Liza -- my thinking possibly due to added stress and other pressure triggering events in life causing the OBEs to stop -- and yes u are right -- i am a very open person in mind, body and soul -- i am sure i will have some OBEs once all pressure triggering events in life gets less and i am able to clear everything out of my mind (ive attempted to mediate and other methods to no success -- TOO much worry over traumatic family events that has been going on lately)
