Youre Irish??!!! :fruit: :thumb: I plan to give my man a Claddagh ring and have a Claddagh tattoo on my back to show loyalty, friendship and love to him :)
My deceased paternal grandparents were Irish. I love Irish flags, claddaugh rings, sweet irish bread, and I even have a small mirror with Claddagh above it and it's hanging on the wall next to the front door. :)

Aren't you a real sweetheart! But tattoo? Fook! :Ohno:

I had a promise ring back in h.s. to go steady and etc.... yet things didn't work out for us so it was over.

I had another promise ring but i dumped it because i wasn't ready because we were ready to enter our college lives. And I knew it didn't worked out for us when we entered college. long story.

I had promise ring back in high school....

I gave DD that claddagh ring because she is irish. :)

I have never gotten a promise ring in my lifetime and yeah it is a meaningful thing to have.

Definition of Promise Ring

I never had one, but in high school and college I always wore a beautiful gold claddaugh ring with emarld heart. When I went steady with this guy then I turned my ring facing to my heart.

what does claddaugh ring look like? if you can.. can you show me a pix of it?

ive given a promise ring to a gf once. and obviously it didn't work out.

I've been given a promise ring twice. I told my fiance I didn't want one. So he never did give me one. I just feel like I jinx it when I get something from my boyfriends. So no more promise ring for me.. Now I have an engagement ring and that's good enough for me.. :thumb:

I don't really see the point of having a promise ring. It's like getting her a promise ring, then an engagement, then a wedding ring. A promise ring pretty much says that you promise to marry her. I don't need a ring to show my promise. I love her. She loves me. If that love was really there, then we both would trust each other knowing that marriage would happen in the near future.

I agree. Sometimes, women tend to make/force their men to buy it for them. It's important to trust to show how much love is for each other, not promise ring. It has to come from the heart directly.

That is because to a woman it is a big deal and a ring is a symbol of something that is alive and serious business about dating, love and marriage. The women's mind operates alittle differently than the guy's mind and that is okay and it is normal for a woman to feel that way. Women love to take tons of pictures with cameras and talk about it. The same thing with a ring of love that says love , commitment and a possible future together in marriage and things like that. Women love to talk about Love & Relationships. This is a natural high for the ladies and the ladies learn alots from each other and that is great for them. :)

For us, the guys. We show our love through our minds, the good memories of being with a girlfriend or a wife. We also show our love through positive actions with our girlfriends or wives. We are more practical as guys. We will have a ring on our hand when we are married and have a picture of our girlfriend if we are not married yet to her or Have a picture of our wife in our wallet. Maybe one picture at work on the desk or in our truck or car. :thumb:

Men and women's brainwaves and emotions are different when it comes to dating and the relationship issues. :fingersx: The one very common thing that really shows up is Love.

Love is more powerful than any emotion and love is patient , kind and forever enduring. Love never stops loving !!!

i dont have any promise ring from any boyfriends or husband in my lifetime but someday i will and never know it !

I have a claddagh promise ring and a claddagh celabicy ring and a claddagh family ring i'm irish so it;s custome for a girl to get a claddagh not sure about the guys

I would rather buy myself a ring.

I don't believe in love and man, all that is myth.

Name one guy who been with same person forever in perfect love relationship with no problem, no fallout, no breakup, no divorce, not unhappy, no being unfaithful...

It is better for me be single.
