Products For Everyday Life....

There ya go, Angel; I was gonna post this from Mark who obviously knows what he is talking about.........we have Sidekicks, too but its only fair to check around for the best thing for yourself. My next pager will prolly be a Blackberry if they keep pace with the industry.....

Yes, Blackberry is better in features and quality... but costly.

If you compare Blackbery with Sidekick:

With Sidekick, you'll get unlimited text-messaging, unlimited e-mail, and unlimited internet... for $30. Calls are 40 cents a minute.

With Blackberry, you'll get unlimited e-mail, unlimited internet, and ONLY 300 text messages... for $40. Calls are 20 cents a minute.

Now, for many of us... we're deaf users. The calls feature isn't really something many of us care for. Secondly, text messaging is used for contacting OGO users and cell phone users. If you are deaf, but have hearing family members who use cell phone... text messaging is the way to go. Also, Ogo pagers are slow with receiving e-mails (e-mails refresh every 5 minutes)... but they do get text messages instantly. Blackberry is better... for voice users. Sidekick is better for those who aren't looking for fancy features and non-voice users.

Think of it like the Playstation 2 and Xbox. Both can play games and DVDs. However, the Playstation 2 was created first. It wasn't made for constant DVD use. The Xbox came next and it can handle constant DVD use.

Back to the Blackberry and Sidekick. Both can handle voice calls. However, the Sidekick was created forst. It wasn't made for constant voice calls. The Blackberry came next and it can handle constant voice calls.

Of course, this is all just my opinion and also opinions from my friends who are Sidekick and Blackbery users. :thumb:

Damn right, BlackBerry can be very expensive!

Sidekick is a definite BARGAIN! It's a great price. And it has "Great Looks"

It's just that a lot of deaf users only remember those crappy old models of BlackBerry that can only do email.

I'm just trying to point out the great things that a NEW modern 2005-era BlackBerry can do far better than a Sidekick can do nowadays, finally.
;)

VamPyroX, UNBELIEVEABLE!! YOUR EXTREMELY EXCELLENT POST WITH BEAUTIFUL SPECIFY CONCPET!

Have you notice today, public hearing people really want blackberry?? not most people wanted.. they looking for small with everything like sidekick's packages.. Have you see any hollywood, rappers, or skateboard, freestyle bike, or motor bike carry blackberry on tv or mag's commercials??? Hell No... C'mon... most people using SIDEKICK or other brands also.. Because they want to carry it whereever they take it MUCH EASY for themselves......

Lemme tell you story in past, 1990's celerities hollywood and famous rappers, skaterboarders, others used motorola timeport 935 were SO POPULAR as pop CULTURAL!!, why did they not using blackberry showing up in music, or tv or mag during 1990's?? They were using Motorola timeport 935 in commercials such tv, music, or mag.. then 2002's they using sidekick more and more than ever

blackberry for professional business and invest money etc..

Sidekick is great and excellent enough as camera, calender, IMings, email, on Application lists, keyboard hide by screen flip, easy carry its good enough for me that what I do satisfied within.

I rather stick with SK since 2002....

VamPryoX, just one correction. For text messages, Verichat does not use text messages - it uses the 'unlimited data' instead of the '300 text messages'. So you can send and receive thousands of messages if you go through Verichat. Also, there's a way to get unlimited SMS text messages on T-Mobile too, you have to go to Options->SMS and then change from "GSM" to "GPRS". Then it uses your data instead of using your SMS messages.

I am not trying to convert anybody to BlackBerry, but most deaf people don't even know how far BlackBerry has improved for 2005, so that's why I posted the photos. Deaf people should decide for themselves what the BEST device is for themselves (photos). What's surprising is that BlackBerry actually finally does some things better recently than Sidekick.

The Sidekick is a great and wonderful device! BlackBerry used to be used mainly for business and still is, but it is now increasingly being used outside of business too, just see the photos of 2005-era BlackBerry software (scroll down for the pictures).
