According to the link above, it didn't mention anything about a religious belief. It stated it was because of money:

"He believes Sanders supporters are socialists, and says he's had problems with two customers over the last six months who supported him. Shupe said they caused him problems over paying their bills.

'I've had some horrible experiences in the last six months with towing cars for this mindset individuals, in that I don't get paid. They want to argue about a $50 tow bill, and it turns into just a drama and a fuss. And I said, you know, I'm not going to associate with them, and I'm not going to do any business with them,' Shupe said."

Hmm that's new-- I hadn't seen anything like that til now as in other articles/comments I've seen he said that "God told him to...a feeling washed over me"- no mention of him having "issues" with other Sanders supporters (which I honestly find a little hard to believe- Anybody regardless of political background could or might 'argue' the charge- perhaps they thought he was trying to rip them off or something- we don't know their side of it unfortunately.

What was a bit odd to me though was that his business is in SC (Travelers Rest) but the accident was in Asheville NC. According to googlemaps- that's an hour drive.

Either way I think for many, the bigger issue is him leaving her stranded there. He did claim he didn't see the Disability placard/tag.

That would be a pretty drastic move over just one guy's action.

I think he was the owner of his business.

Yeah I think he own the business , I don't like either candidate , I don't want Trump or Hillary for my president so I joking about moving to
Canada.

It's not just him, it has been a mix of things over the years. I just want to move back to my family's home land Ireland. My family moved her 5 generations ago and I want to move us back
If you want to move to another country, that's fine but it's not necessary to hate all of America.

America isn't perfect (no country is) but I don't want to move back to my most recent ancestor's home of four generations ago.

I haven't seen any sources quote him about his religious beliefs but I suppose he could be saying different reasons to different reporters. I don't know what religious reason there could be for not towing someone's car but then I don't know everyone's belief system.

The woman wanted her car taken back to her home town; she didn't want to leave it in another state. She preferred using a towing company that was local to her town.

Yeah, he was a jerk.

I might have a strong political difference with someone but that doesn't mean if they need help as in this example, I will refuse to help them.
Same here ,I had a client that was making racist remarks about Black people while I was giving him a sponge bath . I didn't walk out on him , I did want to say something b/c my daughter is Black but I just bite my tongue real hard ! I had a lot of clients with difference political views than me , if I refused to care for them I would had been
out of job.

did the tow guy break ADA rules by not towing the handicap woman , he said he didn't know she was handicap but there is no way to know if that is true .

Ah okay. I wasn't sure or clear if she lived in SC or NC so that's what got me wondering.

I am not a lawyer or know all of the ins and outs of the ADA but I don't think this situation would fall under the ADA.

That's a common route from SC to NC. The Asheville area is a very popular place to visit for people from SC.

I agree.

OK , someone was asking this question on another forum I use , so I wondering if this was any kind of violation , I think it fall under being a 'jerk'.

I think that people just need to remember that the tow truck drivers are just doing their jobs and not trying to hurt people when they repo or tow from parking issues.

I know but I have no control on people whoever hate towing companies and tow owners have to deal with drama.

So the tow guy lied about not knowing the woman was handicap , I hope his action hurt his business !

Have you seen comments on FB? Most of them are very nasty toward to disabled woman. :(

I live in the state below lol, but no I feel like the people in the rainy states are happier

We have been having some crazy weather. We had some thunder and lighting storms followed by 80 degree days. Today was 86 degrees and tomorrow is said to be rainy and 40 degrees.

I love the rain and would love to move to Seattle but Seattle and most cities near Seattle are....expensive as shyte- especially living spaces. Would need a good job, a very large lottery winning or something. Don't think one could live on SSDI out there too well unless you are in a low cost (not always great) area or have roommate(s).
