Hi, I am a human services major and for my final project I have to do a presentation on an area of human services, it could be anything. I want to do mine on deaf culture, the problem is it had to be an issue facing the deaf community and being hearing it is very hard for me to find something like that. I don't know if i'm just not typing the right words into the search engine or what so I thought I would ask all of our deaf or HOH friends here or even hearing (who know more than me, which is easy ;)) What are some problems facing you? OR what are some solutions that have just been made available?
 
You should talk to Authentic (alldeaf member) about the discrimination he is facing right now at doctor's office.

Access to multimedia via captioning would be a possibility. Access to jobs is another one.
