prefer video or text?

Yeah, depends.

But usually I prefer text, I am too impatient to listen to someone signing on a video since it's slower than reading a text.

I am glad I wasn't only one in this! I thought a lot of deaf people preferred to listen to video since there's some website where a lot of information is done only by video! Ugh.

Video is great for entertainment or if you need something to fix and need visual examples, lol.
 
I read faster than a person talks.

That's why I don't care much for video phones or web cams. I do better through AIM or text on my cell phone. :)

If I want to talk to the person live, I'll do it in person. If it's someone I haven't talked to in a while or someone who lives in another town/state, then I might use video phone. :)
 
I prefer text because of my love for reading not because of issues with videos.
