there are people out there who make a living by offering sex in exchange of money or non-monetary stuff.

After the 2nd or 3rd offense being arrested, they go to jail, some even being sentenced to 10 months or longer (here in Jax). Some are offered drug rehab (long waiting list) for that, and I'd say the recovery rate is very low.

Go back and read the story where it said:

"She said he could also tip her another $40 for her "services," the Bradenton Herald reported.

(So, by what she meant "for her services"...was sex, maybe even a BJ)....so she was busted!....Rightly so, solicting in prostitution.

No, you go back and read the headline. The red texts in your quote doesn't mean that she'd charge him $40 but it means if he was satisfied with her "services", he could give her a $40 tip if he wanted to. Of course, sex for sale is illegal.

She offered sex for two cheeseburgers. That also means that she offered her "services" for two cheeseburgers.

Example: a woman offers sex for $5 so she buys two cheeseburgers with that money afterwards or she offers sex for two cheeseburgers that he buys for her. Either one is illegal.

:laugh2: :laugh2: so....she offered sex for 2 cheeburgers...and also $40 for a "tip" for her services....and her "services" meant sex, pure and simple....Whenever there is $$ mentioned, it's solicting....Perhaps if she would have said she would offer her services for 2 cheeseburgers and nothing else (no $$ mentioned at all)...she "might" have gotten off the hook...(but I highly doubt it)..:giggle:....but no way would anybody in their right mind offer a Police Detective "her services" just for 2 cheesburgers.

Like I said before, obviously she was hungry and had no money for those burgers. Don't you know that we have a bad economy in America??? So many people are jobless. So many people are homeless. So many people are starving. Women are lucky because they can find a way to get money from horny men. Men aren't.

Men solict also...so it's not always the woman. Regardless, she made the mistake of solicting a police detective, so it's a ride to county jail. Prostitution....as for being so hungry, these people know where the dumpsters are....and also I'm positive somebody would have given her a $1 if she asked (begged), as I've seen some of these people at shopping centers.....My bet is that once she ate those cheeseburgers, and if it wasn't a police detective, just some random man, and she got the $40....she would have went and bought drugs with the $$.....

There are also food kitchens downtown in all cities that give out free meals, plus charities that give free food & clothes...But they do not offer FREE drugs, and the majority of these prostitutes are drug addicts.....Besides, no matter how "horney" men get, it's a bad choice to pay a prostitute for "services"....all types of diseases they can acquire....since the prostitute had turned many "tricks" without protection.

So, NO, I don't feel sorry for Prostitutes or anyone who engages in Prostitution. I would eat out of dumpsters before I would offer my body for $$....and keep my Pride.

These women are not "lucky that they can find a way to get money from horny men". They don't want to sell their bodies....prostitution is not a victimless crime, in spite of what people believe. Something like 90% of the women get their asses beat whenever they hook up with someone. Some are raped, some are killed. You should watch "COPS" more often, these women are almost all drug addicts....and drug addicts will do ANYTHING to get that 'high'.

If a woman has no job and can't find one, how does she earn a living? She knows that she can make money from horny men everywhere so she becomes a stripper or whore. Of course she knows being a whore is risky. Some of them need money for their survival needs or to support their child(ren), not always for drugs. Some of the whores even enjoy sex with strangers. Why I said that they are lucky is because there are plenty of horny men who are willing to buy sex from them, even though it's illegal. Now compared to men who can't find a job, how many horny women are willing to buy sex from them?

The difference between a whore and a porn star who also sells sex for money is that a porn star pays taxes.
 
I think the hooker was just trying to skirt around the solictation laws. like a hooker that would sell you a condom for $25 and offer to give you a free demonstration.
