Lol. Yesterday a friend told me she heard on the news that near here a guy was pulled over for going 95 mph. They discovered 100 pounds of weed in his car.Dumb a$$.
Identifying the plate doesn't help if the vehicle is stolen. The high speed police pursuits are just like when they pull their gun and start shooting, the adrenaline starts flowing and they can't stop themselves. It doesn't matter how many people are killed in the process, they "always" get their man! My proposal is give the cops binoculars to see the license plates or helicopters to follow them and have them wait for the guy when he gets home, and then throw the book at them, by diffusing the situation you would probably have a lot less need for body bags at the end of one of these chases.
True, but putting other peoples live in danger because you want to catch them isn't worth it. If you have a copter even if the vehicle is stolen, they will know where the people end up at.Identifying the plate doesn't help if the vehicle is stolen.
