I think it is really difficult to make a real bad pizza, ya know. I, generally, don't care for the franchised pizzas but will eat them. I prefer certain individually owned pizza places. Every city has them....
Same here! :)

I'm that way too! As far as I know of, I think the best pizza places are in NYC, NJ and Conn area...Even Deep dish pizza in Chicago! Please, don't tell me that you like "California pizza" with all that crap they put in there,Tousi!

I remember " Godfather " pizza from when my family lived in Texas and Kansas.

That pizza place " Godfather " Just the pizza slice alone, was so big and so thick that it only took 1 pizza slice to be full. It didn't take alots to have a full stomach immediately.

I am surprised " Godfather " pizza is still around. When I go through the South again then I will have to look into a " Godfather " pizza place. That is awesome, man !!! :) :thumb:

It depends on the area. Different areas make pizza differently. I like Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn, Cici's, Salvatores, etc.

In Italia, ( In Italian the word Italia means Italy )

The pizza is made differently and is much more healthy. More strong on vegetables and home made cheese. You won't see tomato sauce. You will see Real Tomato Slices on pizza. There is really no pepperoni ( Pepperoni is American made )

but they do have meat, chicken on pizza ... it is made a different way than in America and in Italia the pizza is much , much more healthier.

Some Old World Italian resturants still sell this kind of extremely healthy homemade pizza here in America.

It is cooked by a brick oven and you would need to ask for what is called a... " Trattoria " which means in Italian ... resturant. It also usually means Old World cooking.

You will need to find a resturant with Brick ovens and Old World cooking the Italian way also , it is a very healthy way to eat. :) :thumb:

Lol, Nutty & Catmandu, yeah, I do partake of some of this "upscale" California pizza. However, I have several friends here who are originally from NYC and Upstate and over the years we have found a few select places within about 2 to 20 miles from my home that serve pizza the way they remember from NY cuz the owners moved here. And cannoli, too! So... :nana: :nana: :nana: LOL!

St. Paul II Pizza, not sure which one... in Queens or Brooklyn. Been there once, GAWD!!! The best pizza I ever ate!!! The only place that bakes Pizza using hard coal! OFC, the pizza looks like they been burnt, but it was just look... the taste was sooooo incredible Hey if your from that area and know that place, lemme know.

I usually like Papa Johns! I HATE pizza hut, work there and see how they do in back room. Diguesting!

I prefer the Greek and Italian "mom & pop" pizzarias in Connecticut.
