I'm not sure a "zoo" is exactly an "industry". They're nowhere close to the same as something like a circus or whatnot. Most zoos I've been to are quite focused on conservation and protection in their natural habitats.

I prefer a donation-based zoo. It's usually local and not very marketing-oriented type.

Zoos are a very very controversial subject and guaranteed that if we do get into it, the mods will come along and shut down the thread in one day! It really brings out the worst kind of fighting in people and I don't want to foster that on this website.

Hah, well if you don't want to discuss it that's fine, but I'm sure we could discuss it civilly. (Admittedly, I *am* a fan of fostering argumentation and discussion, so there's that, too.)

I believe you and I could discuss it civilly but speaking from experience, there are those who can't and that's when the debate switches from people expressing intelligent rational input and learning from each other and considering each other's points of views to name-calling and character assassination and accusations of lying and middle fingers flying all over the place. It happens every single time the subject gets brought up anywhere on the internet. Like I said, it's a very controversial subject! :)

Nope, I have refreshed it and I have allowed the page to fully load all content and he is still standing behind it, holding his little noodle arms out. :lol:

Try refreshing it and quickly go to the picture, it should move till it ends with him standing with arms open.

Sweet picture! I love elephants too...there is a great Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee that my mom follows religiously. They rescue elephants from all over the world. Our Tina from the Game Farm moved there to live her final years with freedom and she died a couple years later. :(
