LOL, thanks, man. Yes, deaf people do drink. In fact, we tend to drink a lot! :D

But, in that picture, there are only two people who are actually deaf. Myself and... think you can guess who the other one is?

I would guess someone across from you...easier to trade signs

You are correct, sir! The man sitting directly across from me is a CODA. He's a well-known interpreter in Holland and a very nice guy. The man sitting next to him is the other deafie, from Austria. The girl sitting next to me is a Linguistics professor in Austria. All three of these people signed very good ASL, even though it was only their second or even third signed language. (And they also speak and read/write English fluently, in addition to their native spoken languages.) Sometimes it blows me away how linguistically versatile Europeans are.

My professorand I discussed that the other day...we attributed it to all the close-range countries...you'd have to learn to communicate effectively. I was brought up English, learned SPanish then Latin, now ASL so I feel pretty good for "An American" lol.

Here's some of me...lol

more deaf bikers!

Awesome

Anyone know how to change a tire or two? (Bike Maintainence)

I started learning a lot more about my dirt bike (2 Strokes!) and won't have any more guesswork. Too much money to take them to the shop!

GREAT pics everyone....Bonkercrazy looks like Shoshanna Stern in some ways.

come on over to http://www.alldeaf.com/auto-talk/77026-motorcycle-thread-about-absolutely-nothing.html !

to answer your question - yes and no. I know the procedures to change a tire in my head.... but I have not done it by hands yet. It is pain in the ass.
