my Klein mountain bike costs about $1,200... I think... sux that Trek acquired Klein cuz Klein's gone for good. so what makes this Giant 29'er $1,500?

do you need what it has? I see that it's designed for some aggressive mountain riding which is why it's lightweight, has stronger brakes, 2/3 x 10 speeds, and big tubes.

I like riding on dirt roads. I don't like V brakes, I like disc brakes. The disc brakes makes it easier to repair the tires. I would like to have a sturdy bike that I can have confidence in and not to damage the wheel. My previous bike, I had to repair the wheel at least 5 times. I repaired the bike, the friday before it got stolen over that weekend.
