Photos of my dear Rotties!

:wave:lilcy, no prob.
did you have a dog when you were a kid?

Are they sisters? They're cute , I like the one that mostly black . Why are Rotties tails cut. I know some people that have one and they did not have their Rotte tail cut off , it look really cute with a tail.

Depends.

Lots of herding dogs, which include rottis, have theirs docked so cattles don't trample on their tails-- not so much with the breeds geared toward sheeps.

I read that pooples had their tails docked years ago so people would not have to pay taxes on them . When the poodle tail was docked it meant it was a working dog. The poodle hair was also shaved all off and only left on it joints . If was done so the poodle would not get stuck in berry patch when hunting birds. tHe hair was left on ther joints to keep them warm when the poodle when the water. My poodle once got stuck in a berry patch playing.
ball When he tried to get out the thorns got tighter around him! I had go in the patch and get my dog lose and carry him out. Poor doggie ,he was really get stuck.

wow, so lovely, I love them.
Now Im considering to have my own dog. :P:roll:

Mae sure you find a good dog breeder. My daughter mother in law got a golden retrierver and the poor dog has all kind of issues. The breeder much had kept breeding one family over and over.

:ty: everybody, nope they're not sisters but they are related - they both have the same sire -father. The baby is related to my very first dear Rottie also:)

I wanted to correct a typo and there is no 'edit button'

Wow, they are so beautiful, shiny and have bright smiles. I will bet they are very, very smart!

If the sire is the same , are they not half sisters.

Not littermates, but still half sisters?

beautiful violet and kaylee.

I had two dobermans when I was a kid. my both dobermans (boys) were pretty handful but adorable! I was sad that they passed away due to the tumor in the brain. We were all devastated because of the same happened twice at the different years. THey both were so young. :(

awww babe, sowwy about that, yeah beautiful breeds they are, my father wants to help me to get a couple of dobies when i finish uni, that i will look forward to!...

yah losing pets when they young is just as heart breaking as if they were old, because of the potential missed years , heart aches for them..hmmm
of even weimaraners (dad and i debates..)
btw my cats are great they are a handful, but adorable, (when they tired LOL - i suppose the same as to those dogs...)
now i can see how id love those breed dobies or weims just bigger and bigger mess in proportions but im a softie im too forgiving and always happy to clean up the mess (most of the time)
as pets always should be treated as they are just children... should be treated equally as human childs...withint reason...mostly...

great pic dogmom, i love rotties too, i had helped several at the old work (my boss passed away) and situation changed, really sad.. but my old fav was "Jade" she was the meanest looking female rotty there was -even the staffs didnt trust her, she liked me not sure why..and i walked her often god i missed her even though wasnt mty dog...i guess there sometimes connection between unpredictable between breeds and personality (and i wasnt rought in face i was the gentlest in the shelter,e but stern on the walks against jumpy dogs)....they seem to have their own ways to suss people, clever rotties.

an d when they really like you, it clear in their eyes they jsut loves you and lick you a lot, its fantastic, shes even nudge with paws and roll head just to keep me there...
yeah they are big powerful, can be dangerous, but when its right they can be very loving...so i know what u miss...

Botti, yes you are correct:)
both the girls are now very close in size - the baby weighs in at about 60lbs, which is what our elderly Lab weighs. The big Rottie girl in the photos is about 75. They have many similarities but also differences not based on age.

that's so great you were able to help Jade, Grummer - people are often scared of dogs like Dobes, Pitties, Rotties purely because of how they look.

I do love my girls.
Love my old boy too.

:ty: everybody for looking and sharing thoughts with me-
