Phone for work?

Caption call needs a digital PBX I believe. You need to have the tech talk to the IT department of the new job. As far as voice carry over, yes, that is all that caption call does. I suppose the relay service could also handle non-vco, but I don't know how that is done.

Well, at the moment, the phone I found may be a no can do for the reasons that Reba cited, so I might be back to square one. I was also told about an app for captioning available for smartphones but they discontinued the service for Blackberry so it's probably not going to happen until I upgrade and I'm in no rush to lose the physical keyboard.

I also like the idea of a physical keyboard; so what you posted prompted me to go to google. Do any of these look like what you might want.

For captioning service I prefer the app for this service http://innocaption.com/

Look at the NexTalk ACCESS solution. Its networked based (so you don't need to worry about the phone and/or phone line type, and it allowss you to do everything on your computer. Bigger screen, better interface and it does text as well as video calls.
