I wear 2 x Phonak Sky Q70 UPs and I've got the ComPilot.

I've just ordered a TV Link II to listen to TV.

What I want to know is can I leave my room with my TV in with my ComPilot still round my neck and be able to walk back in and the ComPilot and TV Link II re connect on its own?

Yes, it should automatically reconnect. I've left the house and when I pulled into the carport it would reconnect.
I usually turn off the TV Link when I turn off the TV but sometimes forget.

You can listen to the TV even when you leave the room - depending on distance and obstacles. I listen to it while in the kitchen which is separated from my bedroom by another bedroom & utility closet.

I don't know about that particular combination but use my ComPilot to set my Q90-up hearing aid (only wear one as the other ear is non-reponsive) to t-coil to use the FM system Personal PA at church. I put my personal neck-loop in where the ear bud that comes with it can be connected. With that combination I have gone to the restroom during a meeting and found the sound still coming in!

You would be out of sight of the picture but I wonder if you would still be getting the sound with your setup rather than it disconnecting?

FM has a longer range than Bluetooth. I too can listen to Mass while out of the sanctuary with the FM. With Bluetooth, probably not.

But her question was more about disconnecting and reconnecting, not about range.

I was wondering if the range might be long enough that it would stay connected and not disconnect and have to reconnect.
 
I used to own 2 x ML10i FM receivers that I used to use with my Naida S UPs and a Smartlink.

The distance this used to work at was really good and I could go to end of my road and still hear my TV.

I've now got a Roger system and I tried to listen to music with it on the way to work but I couldn't as I would put my iPod and the transmitter in my bag (my bag would go across my shoulder and underneath my arm) and it would cut out. My bag had to be in front of me and at tummy button level for it not to cut out.

I gave up with it as the range is shocking and bought a ComPilot.

I use my compilot with my cochlear implant and incad absolutely leave the room and actually hear the TV anywhere in my house.
You can also just press the main "big button" to pause sound when you leave a room.
That is helpful to me because my CI is set to 75% compilot and I only have an implant in one ear (the other ear is also completely Deaf) so if someone wants to talk to me, I have to pause streaming.
 
I took the trash out to the dumpster across the street from my building and put my streaming in pause. When I got back into the building my ComPilot reconnected and I was hearing the TV before I entered my apartment.
 
Do people charge their ComPilots every night in their TV Links so you don't get the low battery warning whiles watching TV or listening to music?!

I charge one of mine on the TV Link in my bedroom every night...handy place to store it when not in use. The other one is in my purse and I randomly charge it since it doesn't get used as much as the other one anymore.

If they are the same model, do you switch them to even out the amount of use each gets?

I've finally received my TV Link II and I'm v impressed by it. I can hear my TV no matter where I am in my house. :)
 
The TV Link has a volume control. Is it a separate volume control from the actual ComPilot volume control?

I don't have my ComPilot as a remote as I want it to work with my back up Naidas as well.
 
Yes, it's separate as far as I can tell. I rarely used it in the past, but now will turn it up or down before I change the volume on my CI/Link HA.

Thanks. I seem to only be able to turn it up two clicks and down six clicks.
