Just wondering if anyone else Phonak Naida Battery Draws have a double click feature to it?

My intgrated recievers and my battery draws that were on my Naida before the FM had a double click feature but my spare Naida battery draws do not have them and have been told Phonak never did them....which is strange as I have had them and have them still....I think my audi is trying to fool me!

I find the double click feature to be more secure then the ones that do not double click.

If you are referring to the two clicks to close the the draw completely on your receiver, it is because the first click is for the aid itself and the second click is for the FM system. Try giving one click, you're FM system will not work.

Since this is an electrical contact, I can't see your original draw having this function and would be surprised if it does.

My standard battery draws that were on my naidas before I got FM have this feature. Some do and some don't. I think my Audi is just not wanting to re order...

That is interesting. What happens if you give just one click? Does the aid have power at that point?

It's the small bit of plastic in the middle at the top of the battery draw that you can see in the picture....

(These are my original battery draws before I got FM)

Yes it does power on....from my understanding, it just makes it more secure.

Yes, mine have the double click. When opening, the first one is to turn off the HA w/o risk of the battery falling out. The 2nd one is to open it to change the battery.

That's interesting as mine will stay on if I only open the draw one click. I have to open it slightly more (2clicks) so the plastic on either side of the battery then takes hold and stops the battery falling out.

That is different, when you do that degree of angle. The click I am talking about are so close to together the battery door looks closed in both instances.

This one doesn't have it....

I find you have to look closely otherwise you think the battery draw is closed :)

I've managed to get another Audi from the same office as my Audi to order me the double click battery draws.

I might start going to see him as he is more gentle with my Naidas then my normal Audi :)

Mine look like the first picture and double click. The first click is definitely not closed, though. I thought it was so you could turn them off but keep the battery secure. That's how I open them at night to put in the dry store. The second click actually closes it and turns it on. I can take pictures to show the space if you want.

Umm, I'm wondering if mine actually power on when I don't fully close them. Worn the FM receivers since November so may have forgotten.

I personally think all the battery draws should have double clicks...

I always click my FM system on, but I wonder if you can save a lot of better life by not using the receiver? Logically, if it is not on you can't drain power for it. Although, it may be a small draw when it is not being used it is still a draw none the less.

I double click my FM receivers all the time as I get this clicking sound continuously and hear nothing else if I don't double click. The clicking sound stops when I double click them. I actually haven't noticed any reduce battery life even tho I'm now using the FM at work etc.

I'm actually going to ask my Audi about this double click business on the receivers as the FM receivers that I didn't double click my mistake and made the clicking noise were sent back as they didn't work that well. I don't want to try this single click business as I'm worried that was the reason my FM receivers failed.

Oh that's not what the double click feature is. With the double click feature, if you only single click, it looks closed as there is a mm gap, then you double click it and it fully closes.

In away I should say 3 click feature to make it more understandable.
