anyone here tried or using the Phonak BTE rechargeable hearing aids? Phonak B90?

Just curious on individual views on the brand and the new rechargeable versions

Thanks

I have Phonak Naidas Q90-UPs and am happy with them, I had the previous Naida's before these. I haven't heard about the rechargeable ones since I'm not currently in the market for new hearing aids.

They just came out the end of August. It's going to take a while for people to get them.

Plus I'm under the impression they are not for people with a large decibel loss.

Probably not for me, then, because of the power needed.
My next one will probably be the one that links to my CI if I go with AB.

Cool. Let us know how you like them. The idea of never having to change a battery is pretty appealing.

Yeah thats why I went with them.. but I was hoping to run into someone else who tried them. Its a little scary not being able to change the battery. Its like a apple iPhone.. once the battery goes.. that how device goes :( they claim the battery will last 3-4 year and covered under warranty.

How you finding your new hearing aids?
I wear the Phonak Sky Q70 UP hearing aids and I'm very impressed with my HAs. Phonak are a good company.

I know someone that got these hearing and hate them , he paid out his pocket and can only use one of the hearing aid. He has one ear that really can't use but he didn't know this . He lost his hearing from old age. I think it's disgusting that elderly people are being taken advance of .

That is not Phonak's fault. That was done by whoever did the fitting and sold them to him.

I just noticed on Switched at Birth Marlee Matlin has a really small BTE. I did not know that was available for profoundly deaf individuals. I'd try it due to how little it is. Anyone have this small BTE if you're severely to profoundly deaf? Is it more expensive?

my mom has something like that, a receiver in canal. (she loves it and I can't wait to see the look on her face when she gets new batteries directly from Starkey in the mail!!!)

that can be very expensive if you're not careful getting the dome part stuck in your canal!

It still looked like a BTE but a lot lot smaller. I didn't really see an earmold. It's a lot smaller than Daphne's hearing aids. Hmmm made me real curious I'd try the one Melody (Marlee) had if it can be powerful enough. It used to not be powerful enough for deaf people maybe it has changed now.

So then you have to get new hearing aids after battery dies? Do you have to recharge them? If so, you may want to think about it in case of emergency and no power to plug in. Just a thought if you have to recharge them and cannot use disposable batteries.

I have read that you can lease hearing aids, so you also get new ones once every few years....better than buying hearing aids...maybe?
