Phonak CROC

I currently have a beige colored CROS. I think I should get the black one to match the Blue Moon UP. It would be easier to find if I lost it at the beach.

Opinions?

Yeah, get the black CROS aid, much better then beige :)

A lot of people like black (same reason for the blue moon) as a lot of snazzy technology is coming out which is black or other cool colors like blue moon :)

Got the new aid in Blue Moon color, but it does not look like the advertised color. The blue is not light blue at all. It looks exactly like yours.

I actually think any of these colors on the website are false. None of there's colors look as good as the pictures. I think the lighted them up to much. I was annoyed by that.

Yes, some are even semi transparent, but that would be false advertising. I'm a little miffed.

You gonna keep the blue moon aid? My red looks a lot better on the website.

I'll keep it unless someone tells me they have the one in the picture. The one in the picture looks more slim so perhaps only certain sizes have that color?

You'd have a hard time finding the aid in the dark.

Red is my favorite color, but the aid wouldn't look good on a guy, IMO.

yeah besides if I had to find my aids in the dark, touch is very easy to go with.
I think red AND black looks classy on a guy like you!

How you finding the Naida UP?

Have you got the new FM system? Hope its all going well :)

I like them both. The aid is much better and the FM system is much clearer.

I do like the color as well, but I would have preferred the true Blue Moon.

The batteries do last longer as well.

:)

I really don't know why they put the SP aid down as far as roughly 100db as everyone says the UP aid sound so much better even tho officially people could fit into the SP as well.
When you are at the limits of the HA, it starts to sound real awful.

Glad things are working well. You still trying it out before you buy?

Has anyone with a Phonak UP noticed that the low batter indicator comes on WAY too early before the battery actually dies. It seems mine is good for at least 4 or more hours before the aid goes dead.

One of mine does that - goes "off" a few times before it actually dies. Can't remember if it's my "good" ear one or the other one. If it's not the "bad" ear, it might be just that I can't hear the alerts.

I just recently started upping the volume on the "bad" ear's HA and can now hear the beeps and the "voice" from the Compilot. I upped it enough that the default volume is now set higher. I will get my audi to checkt to see how much gain I added when I go tomorrow to get my impressions made.

This is for the Naidas

What is the low battery indicator on the product? Can it be turned off?

The end of battery life beep cannot be turned off.

Once a low voltage level is reached, an acknowledgement beep is heard and DataLogging is turned off. This beep is, in fact, 2 beeps separated by 2 seconds. As the battery discharge at that state of the battery is very difficult to predict it might well be that after the first “end of battery life” warning the hearing instruments shut off rather fast. But if not so then every 30 minutes a beep will be heard, reminding the wearer to change the battery. If the battery is not changed and the battery current reaches a critical level, one more end-of-life beep is heard, all manual controls are disabled and the power-down process is started. This process involves a decrease in gain of 5 dB, every 10 seconds. After this, if the battery is not changed, the HA instrument will turn off.
