I agree. Too many debates, and sometimes can get out of hand, like "hey get a Mac...Mac is more securer than Windows..." But should an operating system be taken as a security defense? No! A user who's using a computer should be a security defense. That means, a Windows user who got into a habit of opening attachments in e-mails may still continue to use thier habit when they switch to Mac.sequoias said:I'd rather not discuss about it. It's all up to the users for what they want to buy and how much they can afford it. I've seen way too many Mac vs PC arguments, it's enough.
That's it.

You'll have less choice of choosing which hardware components you want to use, including the computer case. But if you do like to build your own computer, then go with either Windows or Linux.
ClearSky said:I have always liked Mac because I feel it is simple to use. I feel it's more secure, and the quality is better. Of course, I have never seen a modern Mac, but I used to have one in the late 90's. I always liked it better than PC's. I am sure it's the same today like some people agree with me . I still have my old Macintosh, and I do not know what to do with it. I don't give it away because I am not sure how to erase the old information before I recycle it or give it away. I know my college used a very old Mac computer for a game (something to do with learning).

Well, OS-wise, I am a GNU/Linux (Linux) user. I am sick of Windows, and I don't miss it at all. I use Linux on all my PC hardware.DoVip said:Do you think PC is better than mac?
I do NOT like using PC to refer to Windows because a PC is hardware. :Psr171soars said:I'll be a contrarian...I choose Linux over both the PC (assumes Windows) and Mac!
Macs can run Linux.diehardbiker65 said:The last time I touch Apple's computer is Apple IIe and that was back in 1983. I never touch MAC and I don't know if I would ever. I am not crazy about MAC because of compatibility and software availability issues. So Im sticking with PC and going dual boot with Windows and Linux.

So technically, I am a PC user but not a Windows user.
That is a critical bug: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/1sr171soars said:Yea, but when you say PC, invariably people think windows...a fact of life these days...
