PayPal problem

All right, here's my problem. I successfully got everything linked, but when PayPal tried to verify my bank account, Chase rebuffed them, and PayPal says they don't recognize the account number. :wtf: I've had an account with then for over 40 months, and I've never had a problem until now. Suggestions?
 
What type of account is it? (and NO, don't submit your account numbers here, OK? LOL)
 
Shouldn't be a problem, did you double check the account number you submitted? Any balance restrictions?

Yes, I did. It matched perfectly, and I do not have any restrictions at this time that I know of.
 
I looked into the set up. Did you use "Add Bank";then selected "checking account?"

If to no avail, call Chase to figure out what the problem is.

Dang. I must've missed that. Let me see if I can try that now.
 
I've got 99 problems, but paypal ain't one. Sorry, my paypal experience is quite lacking, I never had that issue, but I have used it a lot to buy and sell stuff over the internet. If you sell something, have the buyer submit it as a gift, you'll avoid fees.
 
I'm guessing you used account number as shown online in your Chase account. Do you have a personal check? Look at the account number in it and use it instead.

That was one of the first things I did was to confirm that. And no, I don't. I mainly do things electronically these days.

The account is already there. Just needs verification, which is the problem.

What did it instruct you to do? Not sure if it's still done today, they would make two small deposits (a few cents) in your account and submitting what was deposited would confirm the account. Sooo...?

Just like you said-- verify the two small deposits, and that's when Chase rebuffed them, and said this account wasn't recogizable, which is odd, because I have had them since September 2010 and never had any major issues, which is why I am dumbfounded as to why they got rebuffed.
 
There are TWO numbers that would need to be entered into Paypal ... the routing number and your account number ... look on the bottom of one of your personal checks there is a long line of numbers on the bottom ... it will begin with symbols ... the number between the first and second set of symbols is the routing number .... the number between the second and third set of symbols is your account number .... any numbers after that last set of symbols DO NOT enter into Paypal that's the check number ...

And that's how they identified the account as a Chase account. Smooth sailing, I thought. Apparently not.

You aren't following me ... if you put the check number in as part of the account number it would kick it back as unrecognizable ... or any other numbers or symbols for that matter...

I hear you loud and clear. Routing number and account number. That is exactly what I put in, and it still bounced back.

well the only way possible is this.... you got the wrong account #......
