ISLAMABAD: The Australian foreign office has refused to grant a visa to the Pakistan team for the world deaf squash championship being held in Melbourne.
President of the Pakistan deaf squash association Dr Khalid Jamil has told Geo that approximately two months back the world deaf squash federation sent a letter of invitation to the third international championship. Four male and two female players were selected for this event.
The Pakistan squash federation has also issued an NOC to the players but the Australian foreign office has refused to issue any visa to the deaf players and have given no reason for the refusal.
Dr Khalid Jamil has informed that he would contact the Australian foreign office and the world deaf squash federation in this connection.
