If my doctor sumbit two pa request would medicaid pay for both of them? What Ive heard and read on the internet that once you sumbit a pa request medicaid can't refuse not to pay it, so they have to pay for it.. I only know this much, I know they will pay for one but I dont know about two... Does anyone have any ideas about this??

I know they will pay for one but I dont know about two.
Since Medicaid is very stingy, it will probaly only pay for one. The benifits of a second one are very ambigious......

Pa Request is when medicaid can't refuse not to pay for the CI.. But I happen to find out more information about since nothing else will work out... I will have to get a lawyer and fight medicaid to have them pay for the CI(ALL OF IT). I also can have the doctor submit a pa request for me, or otherwise I can fill out this application and see if I get approved between 4-6 months for them to pay for the device and pay the rest out of my pocket.. There is a few choice there....I got this going now... Hopefully this turns out good.. I go back to the doctor next month and we'll see what happens from there~

You need ask workplace if need apply for health insurance because Medicare/Medicaid isn't accept to cover CI.

How about ask your VR? Don't be afraid to ask it.

SxyPorkie is right, my healthcare insurance will cover up to 90% of the bill then my son's medicare will take care of the rest. I'm not covered by medicare so I have to figure out a way to take care of the remaining 10% for my operation.

You don't know... Medicaid don't accept me to get re-implant since my CI is damaged but I just don't need to re-implant, that enough with damn surgery and I don't have health insurance anymore but I only have medicaid.

You don't read carefully... He means healthcare insurance but not for medicare.

All health insurance must cover CI in full because of FDA.

RoyalMajesty, government health programs generally are very very stingy. Even the majority of private health insurances won't cover the cost of a second CI. You'll probaly get ONE CI, but don't hold your breath on two.

move to canada, that is my suggestion lol.. when i got my ci, i didn;t have to pay a cent for it.. health insurance pays for everything..
