You can't blame Purple for your netbook having a virus. That's user error, not Purple error.

Computer's get a virus because the user did something to allow it. A virus can never infect your computer unless you do something that allowed it to.

What brand name of anti-virus software do you have?

did you install IE9? they been told that it would screw up with PS3. I find it unbelievable that it being communicate between Purple app and IE.

Good question. you are right. I know about problem with IE9 beta. Purple said they is evaluating new release of IE9 Beta. Purple do not recommend that our P3 customers upgrade to IE 9 Beta until further notice.

However, the best way to keep a virus away... Don't download junk, stay away from shady websites, and do not open email attachments from people that you don't know.

Regarding emails... I highly suggest setting your email client to receive all emails as Plain Text.
