"On Thanksgiving, we played a fun and cool game....."
Yesterday Thanksgiving morning, I woke up with a sore throat and was coughing off and on, wasn't feeling quite well, but didn't want that to ruin the thanksgiving day with my family, so I made what I was suppose to bring to my parents house at 1, which was corn casserole and corn bread...Mmmm!
We were all running late it's been awhile that we were the last ones to arrived at my parent's house  ...It was really nice to see my family and my grandparents were there also, we had a nice Thanksgiving dinner and played a game called " scene ", on one team, it was Cheri, Brad, my mom (she played some as she was busy) and I, while my 2 oldest sons, bro on one and finally my sisters and Cheri's oldest son were on the other team..When the game started, we got to go first because we had the highest number after rolling the dice....The first question was related to a movie, showing a series of snapshot photos and whoever would call out first and have it right win that round, I looked at Cheri and said " Where's is Banjo when we need him " LOL since he's a movie guy and knows pretty much about movies and actors/actresses, their names etc....I thought our chance of winning this game was slim, but Brad was the first one that called out to what it was, but everyone else just sat there not having any clue to what is was....funny thing, he kept saying it over and over and when time expired, he was right. (Mash was the answer to that question)....Then later on during the game, as the team that my sisters were on were a bit ahead of us, we gave them a card that made them lose a turn, a card we had drawn earlier and kept, when we were the first ones to reach the end, we lost the opportunity to win the game right on that spot when all played and kept us from winning, then on our next turn later, we had to successfully answer three questions in a row, if we get all three questions right, game's over and we would win, but we ended up only guessing two of the questions right, so we were still in the spot called the 'final cut' area, then the second time we had to answer two questions when it was our turn again, the other two teams had a chance to win, but didn't, so on our turn, we only got the first question right, but didn't know what the second answer was for the second question.... LOL, then once more, we had another chance to win, we chose the category that shows 3 items that can be helpful to get the correct answer....the card we had was to name the actress that played in three movies.... " Trading places " Die Young " and "The Fog "....boy, I struggled to remember what the actress' name was...then I knew she played with John Travolta in another movie and was trying to point that out, and then I kept saying Jamie...Jamie Lee, then my mom said, Jamie Lee Curtis...we won we won! It was soo much fun and it was so exciting to play too....
Last year our family played " Apples to Apples "....did any of you guys play any games on Thanksgiving and if so, share the experience here. Also, how was everyone's Thanksgiving?
