This case is really helpless, partly because there is not a lot of forensic evidence to be used at all. Thereby making it a case based on "guessing" the sequences of events and see if they stick against Pistorius' background and testimony.

I read about how the lead investigator, who is not helping by the way, with the unrelated charges to this case - he collected statements from the neighbors who heard arguing outside of Pistorious' house. I read that Pistorious lives in a gated community, and the closest neighbors live some 300m-600m away, that up to a third of mile away. That must have been a REALLY loud argument or this part seems bogus, like the investigator is trying to incriminate him based on inadmissible material.

Based on the limited evidence and what we know from the news so far, it all points to signs of a lover's spat/domestic disturbance that got escalated and went wrong.

I get the feeling Pistorious may have been addled by drugs/alcohol (he was the one who notified the hospital/police) and that fueled to the argument. The couple was arguing about some matter, his girlfriend locks herself up in the bathroom, they continue to argue through the walls. Then Pistorious makes threats to open the door, and made good use of his threat by shooting (although 3 shots sounds extremely excessive) which was fueled by the argument and if any substances he was on. He later calms down and realizes what he's done, calls it in.

I don't know how the African courts work. I would think if there's not enough to get him for murder, there's atleast enough to convict him for use of an illegally possessed weapon. If it is to get serious and wake Pistorious up, put it related to use of unreasonable force and/or culpable homicide, that should land him some prison time.

They are already calling Botha "Furman 2." Much of the chatter says he will be out on bond tomorrow. I had a chat with a few legal folks yesterday and they seem to believe this case is in big trouble. :dunno:

Yes I watched the news and also heard the investigators did some major faux pas' during their initial time at the crime scene - not good. Also any evidence the prosecution had needed to be presented quickly in court for the bail hearing and, thus, they have not had time to gather, evaluate and present it as clearly as it would be for an/the actual trial.

A lot of evidence may be contaminated because the original lead detective did not wear safety jumpsuit while investigating and collecting them inside the mansion.

What's more is Mark Fuhrman, infamous detective in OJ case, claimed that the prosecution have had a case with overwhelming evidence against Pistorius. You do not have to guess where I got this news. :smh:

I'm reading your old thread from last year ago. Have you watch Oscar's live trial recently? He will be back on May 5h. Do you think he is guilty or not? I believe he is guilty of murder his girlfriend Reeva. I don't believe his story testimony, he is a disgusting liar! His old lead investigator removed from courtroom because he was facing of homicides on bus few years ago.
