Old news? I watched BBC last night and they said he was just hours away from appearing in court so how old can it be?

That's how people who already hear the news. It become bore already. I did hear that news yesterday morning.

"On Tuesday, Mr Pistorius told the court he had woken in the middle of the night and heard what he thought was an intruder in the bathroom.
He shot through the door and only then realised Ms Steenkamp was not in bed."

This part really raises red flags for me. When you are sleeping with someone and think you hear an intruder, the first thing you would normally do it look to your partner to see if they are there or if they are awake because they heard it too. He then gets up, gets his gun, and poses in the front of the door - not once during this time does he look at his girlfriend. Only after he shoots does he look to the bed. Why finally at that point - to see if the shots woke her?? Nope, in my opinion, his explanation does not follow natural human behaviour for anyone sleeping with their loved one and hearing an intruder.

His whole story reeks!! I agree with Journey, He would have checked on her before he even got up. What crook will goto the bathroom?
 
Yeah I agree the story is fishier than a can of caviar. If he really was scared of an intruder why did he not even check to see where his girlfriend is? And if his story was that his girlfriend was held "hostage" in the bathroom why would you just shoot random shots in there with the door closed?
