I like Keith Olberman- I wish he still did sportcenter with Dan Patrick.....ahhhhh those were the days

Yes, they were a great team on that show. I never watch Sportscenter anymore. Too slow. Faster to get my sports fix online.

I agree....The were the best. The Sunday night edition was a can't miss.

I really don't have a problem with him donating.....or even supporting candidates. I always viewed him as a commentator rather than an anchor anyway. *shrug* I mean, I don't care for his commentary but it's a free country...

One more thing, how is "suspend indefinitely" different from "fired" - if you're suspended indefinitely that means you'll never work so you're fired... so why bother to say, "suspended indefinitely" when "fired" is sufficient?
:dunno:

I think that what's good for the goose should be good for the gander.

It's quite possible that Fox has a different policy then MSNBC, but I agree that it looks bad.

I don't think it's wise for a broadcaster to throw money at any one political party because it could be viewed as trying to sway the American people. But, the only thing I will say is that if you think it was unfair, then write Fox News and complain.

Griping about it here isn't going to do diddly to change anything.

It looks like part of the problem was that Olbermann didn't report his contributions to his bosses. Bosses don't like to be blindsided by their staff members.

That very well could be the issue.

I get your point but when it comes to commentators (not hard news reporters), aren't they supposed to be trying to sway people to their point of view? They belong in the editorial department, which delivers opinions.

Good question about the companies' policies.
