Okay, I can't understand the lyrics to this song...

There's a song that plays on KBIG 104 every once in awhile and it's a female that sings it. However, I can't understand most of it no matter how many times I listen to it and can only make out the words "HELP ME, papa, papa HELP ME" if those are even the lyrics. Everything else is gibberish. This song is difficult for me to understand by just listening to it. A google search of these specific lyrics turns up no results and I can't ever get to the KBIG 104 site on time to find when it's on the "last played" list. So, does anyone know which song this is? :)

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask some music forum?
 
Well, this is the movies/books/TV/media forum and I was assuming that some of those of us with better hearing (such as interpreters, etc.) might know and be willing to help out. Plus, I don't belong to any music forums. :)
 
Well...looks like my mission this weekend is to find this song. Gonna listen to KBIG 104 from my computer and try and find this song's title when it comes on. It's bugging the heck out of me. :cool2:
 
I'm hearing, a terp, and I have no clue what song you're talking about. If it's pop/contemporary, I don't listen to that music.

I did find the following as the result of searching the web:

I don't know if it's the same song. You didn't provide many clues, such as the music genre.
 
The closest I can think of is the Beach Boys... "Help Me Randa!"

There's an iPhone application called Shazam. If you run the application and let it listen to the music, it can usually recognize the song and show you what song it is. :)
 
That's the problem- I'm not 100% sure. The announcers don't announce anything and I can't tell anything beyond those few words. I'm thinking it's pop, but that's the only thing I know about that song. :(

But, the lyrics are, distinctively, "HELP me, papa papa HELP ME" and then the female voice goes back to being indecipherable.

Argh. Trying to find this song is driving me crazy. Haha!
 
Why don't he ask a hearing person to help him? Or even call the radio station when they are playing the song....
 
rockin robin- That would be an option if the radio station would actually play it. That's what I'm waiting for, and the online broadcast from the radio station hasn't played it yet. I listened to the radio for 4+ hours yesterday trying to find the song with no luck. I've also asked quite a few people and have done a TON of searches to no avail for the lyrics and they don't come up.

Figures - it plays all the time when I'm not paying attention and when I'm trying to find it it doesn't play AT ALL. Nuts!! :lol:
 
Have ya tried to goggle "lyrics to Help Me Papa"??...I did and got the song titled "My World is Blue" by Jimmy Cliff.....it goes...

"Help me Mama, help me Papa
Can't you see I've made a mistake?
I'm only livin' for a lovin'
And this heartache I just can't take
I'm so blue"

There's more! Hope it's the right one....(BTW, I'm totally deaf, so I've never heard it)..just try to goggle it...

FINALLY!!!! I FOUND IT!!! And I found out the lyrics are "Your Papa, papparazzi" not "papa, papa help me". So it turned out to be Lady Gaga's "Papparazzi".

How about calling the station that playing song and ask what the name of the song it!!
