Let's say that 2 people meet. One person likes cars with turbocharged engine. The other does not. They get married. Maybe the person who likes turbocharged car will learn to live without turbocharged cars. Maybe the person who does not like turbocharged engine will learn to like turbocharged engine.
We see a Cowboy fan marrying a Redskins fan. Philadelphia Eagles fan marry a New York Giant fan. Bears fan marrying a Packers fan. Life goes on.
Why is it that people complain that their significant other does not want to learn ASL? It's kind of like expecting someone who does not like cars with turbocharged engine to be forced to like those turbocharged engine? If it's important, I'm sure the person would find someone who does like those turbocharged engine in the first place. Same thing with learning ASL.
