I was at a stop sign when my car died - just like that. After I turned it off then turned it on again, it worked again after a little jerk.

:(

Do I have to take it to a mechanic? :( Any ideas of what might be wrong? What should I do? I'm going to be driving a looooooooong ways in a few days...geez. What bad luck! :pissed:

Been there done that. I was on way to beach for couple hrs. then on way back, oh break down 17th times and 18th, completely died down so we took it to car shop to get it fix. I know how you feel. it did made me :pissed:

How many mileage your car is?

Check your battery. If battery is good then should be fuel pump, spark plug, or etc.

If your battery died then replace new battery and battery die quick then check alternator.

When your car saw a "STOP" sign, your car decide to STOP. Remember, you have toavoid those STOP signs when you drive  j.k.

DO you still have warranty for that car?

She has a white car I think?

have you done the CPR procdure yet?

He laughed at die car. What an asshole!

Do you know what the problem was? 50,000 miles seems like that your car is still a baby, isn't it?

Yeah. The battery looked good...all fluids are good. *crossing fingers* I hope it just got overheated (where I live, that's pretty common because it can go up to over 100 degrees F).

Maybe the elephant came back and peed on it. :/

maybe a engine controller computer got fried? :dunno:

I dunno Calvin. I'm regretting not going to school and becoming a car mechanic right now. Serves me right for not being educated about cars.

i was going to say check the fuel pump as it would not be gettng fuel thru but the car is much newer so its prolly something else. take it to the shop and have it checked out. hope nothing major.

Ugh. I dislike american car. That's why they are so cheaper.

Bowak, Yeah that what i thought about fuel pump.

If fuel pump is good then engine really bad.

Maybe starter solenoid or power cable.

ahhh solenoid! i remember my good ol chevy wont start cause of a bad solenoid, the mechanic put in a pick up truck starter (top of the line) in my car...worth my $300 buks lol

I was told that deafbajagal's car made through the trip?
