Very nice, ladysolitary. Growing up on a small farm in Minnesota as I did, I had a love and respect for Nature and I spent most of my youth outdoors in a place that has four definable seasons. I'd always harbored a special adoration for the autumnal season. It was a time for celebrating abundant harvests after many weeks of loving toil.
However, as I contemplate, this morning, on my 68 years here on earth, I realize autumn can also be seen as Nature's, ummmm, "funeral" with bursts of colors. So, yes, while autumn is here, I shall await, for a little while, the coming of spring.....
