October

Very nice, ladysolitary. Growing up on a small farm in Minnesota as I did, I had a love and respect for Nature and I spent most of my youth outdoors in a place that has four definable seasons. I'd always harbored a special adoration for the autumnal season. It was a time for celebrating abundant harvests after many weeks of loving toil.

However, as I contemplate, this morning, on my 68 years here on earth, I realize autumn can also be seen as Nature's, ummmm, "funeral" with bursts of colors. So, yes, while autumn is here, I shall await, for a little while, the coming of spring.....

Why have you "missed the pumpkins?" Are they gone? :Ohno:

Nice poem! October is my favorite month of the year. Love Halloween and everything about it.

Wish I can get my poems out there. Published with my name on it. That would be awesome.

You can. My brother got his published in a poem book long time ago.

Woohoo! I am looking forward to see it on this weekend;

Superstar grower Thad Starr, a 45-year old stay-at-home dad from Pleasant Hill, OR, cemented his growing legend by setting a new California State record with his ginormous 1,775-pound Atlantic Giant that dominated today’s 42nd Annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off on a picture-perfect morning! See it at this weekend's world-famous Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival!

You should come this weekend to enjoy pumpkin pie/bread/etc...
