Hey folks,

I know this is probably meaningless to most of you, but I am quite proud of myself.

I have a new toy. A BRAND SPANKING NEW Dell 4700 Computer. It came by UPS just this afternoon, and it's sitting on my desk, in my room, waiting to be hooked up!

I AM SO EXCITED, because, this means I won't have to share computers with anybody. I won't hear "S******, get off! I want to use the computer NOW!", or "You've spent X hrs on the computer. How about letting someone ELSE use it now?!"

It's probably going to be a few days or a week before the computer is up and running completely, but I'm a patient person (Right, Malfoyish? LOL). I can wait a few extra days.

For now, I'm just gonna revel in my happiness. And, make plans to customize my new toy. Lessee, I've already decided on Harry Potter wallpaper. And, a Harry Potter screen saver. Harry Potter mouse pad. See a theme developing here?

Ah, the possibilities.

Feel free to add comments or blow this post off. LOL I'm just having fun. Thanks for putting up with me. Oh, and if anyone wants to see a picture of the desktop, let me know. If I can figure out how to do it, I'll add it to the posting.
 
It is fun getting a new computer! I am very happy for you. Enjoy! :D
 
It’s easy to generate a picture of your desktop. Just hit the key that says ‘Print Screen’, open MSPaint, click Edit, and click Paste. Then save it as JPEG, and voilà! :thumb:

Thanks, Lev! When I get things all "dolled up", I'll add my desktop to the ones already posted somewhere on the site. LOL I really am veeery excited about this! It's been a looooong time comin' for me! :)

At any rate, congratulations on your new toy. :) Use it in good health, and don't throw it out the window when you LOSE your patience.

Thank the stars, she doesn't. But she's about as patient as a two-year-old only child on Christmas morning.
