Yeah, before Vick grew up.
The Vick case might've signaled a lot of other people that "hey you'll get caught, don't do it cause it'll be h-e-double hockey sticks for you".
These days, would you use the example of Vick being a role model, try to spin his ability to be a better ex-convict (hey kids...this man had bad influences/friends/environment...which was the primary moral comprising factor...served time and managed to get his life back on track), or purely just a criminal and shouldn't do anything more in life (i.e. hard labor in prison)? There is no right answer to this question...it's just how I frame the debate...your opinion is respected.
