Our president doesn't have any power on oil price because gas price is varies that based on oil price, however our politicians could do thing to relieve the high gas price is oil drilling or increase gas subsidies or regulate on commodities but not in better solution because oil price went up due to conflict in middle east (Libya) and OPEC won't increase the production so they want oil price to be very high.

OPEC sucks.

Bush didn't give the order to kill Osama. He could not even find him, despite his being 6'4" tall in a land of people averaging around 5'6" and on dialysis!:laugh2:

what was exposed is that Bush's policies failed because it was an ill-conceived plan. It produced little or no result. Osama bin Laden slipped thru and got into Pakistan. That was the result.

Now with Obama - he fixed Bush's mess, got Pakistan to cooperate with us, and maybe kissed some ass here and there but hey - that's what diplomacy is all about! so that our men (SEALs, CIA, etc.) can do their job. Previously, Pakistan refused to cooperate with us under Bush Administration. Now with Pakistan's cooperation and others, we got him! D-E-D! DEAD! :giggle:

Some elements of the Pakistan's ISI protected bin Laden. Not all of Pakistan cooperated with the U.S. bin Laden thought the U.S. will not attack on 9/11 following Clinton's refusal to attack earlier (USS Cole, etc).

Didn't take all the Pakistani cooperation. Obama got enough Pakistani cooperation to carry out this mission. Still succesful no matter how you try to twist it.:laugh2:

Why don't you go ahead and practice what you "preach". My post was in response to a "what if" scenario.

The reality and the facts are that Obama used Bush administration policies to find Osama Bin Laden and the Democrats are giving him full credit.

Since this happened on his watch, are you also going to blame the increasing deficit on Obama because it happened on his watch too? Or, is that Bush's fault?

What baffles me is how anyone can give credit or blame to any past or present President based on this event. The guy was the world's most wanted fugitive. No matter who was in charge, who started the war on terror, etc, the end result is that military people did their jobs. Obama deserves no more credit for pushing the "Kill" button than Bush for initially ordering his capture. I really cannot see how this becomes a Liberal/Conservative issue. Sorry.

Where did he say it was not successful? No matter how YOU twist it, he never said that in his post.

You want reality? Osama Bin Laden is dead. Which President gave the orders that accomplished that? President Obama.:lol:

Nope,the intelligence that located him became available las fall. Obama was President last fall. Already posted a link in the other thread. That is just another bit of reality for you.

I stated those sentiments in another post. If there is anything that could close the divide between the parties, this event should be it.

Some people want that divide to continue. I guess they just want to feel "superior".
