I was driving on my way home from work today and this came up in my mind to think about this.

Anyway, As I was driving, I was noticing a lot of other cars that are the exact model as mine. It's kind of funny because before I had my car, I didn't really bother to notice it out there in the traffic and now when I've had my car, I'm seeing a lot of cars that are the exact ones like mine.

Don't you find it weird when it is like that? Has that ever happened to you?

yea it happened to me alot! lol! even i saw my old first car! it still running around! but look old and junk now lol!

Yeppers, it happens to me all the time. When I got a brand new '96 VW Jetta back in '95, all I saw were VW vehicles everywhere. Then, I got a brand new 2003 Santa Fe in '04...same thing happened. I still have my Santa Fe now and I still notice other Santa Fe's more than any other brand of vehicles. LOL!

yeah ive been seeing my old buick, same color jut different rims..mine had aluimum (sp?) and the other car had hubcaps..i HATE hubcaps bleh

I have seen many cars similar as my car... geez!! One time I was shopping with my fiance... we were done shopping then we went to a wrong car- we was like OOPS! Looked like one of our same car! Damnit! LOL!!! It was totally funny and we were so embarrassed. Luckily the owner of the car didn't get to see us do that. OOPS!!:giggle::Ohno:

Haha, That has happened to me too. Worse, I was opening the car door with my keys and when I sat in the driver's seat, I saw the air freshener hanging on the rear view mirror. At that point, I knew it was not my car. I immediately got out of the car and I was hoping nobody would see me get in the car, haha!

After eating in restaurant, I saw my car's bumper got damaged, I was upset, I kicked on that bumper, and I am about to call police, and few minutes later the car owner came out from restaurant, and told me that car is theirs. I actually forgot where I parked, it's another side from the restaurant.

Authentic -- > Pwned.

My car is a rare model, but I see similar cars around.

It always happens to us. Because we always buy the most reasonably priced small car each time we purchase. I think lots of people do the same.

I have a 2002 Saturn (Maroon) and I see them all over the place

Yep, it did happen to me before. :) My first car was a '83 Honda Civic Wagon, I don't see them much anymore because it's so old. :)

This is what it looked like but it was metallic blue though.

I have seen some 99-00 Honda Civic Coupe exactly like mine, also! :)

Mine is a 2003 Ranger Edge plus package, so it's pretty common around here. But you can tell mine from others.

It happened to me when I was driving a convertible. I used to drive a Lebaron convertible when I was in high school. I noticed that a lot of people had my car.

When I drove my mom's Astro (mini-van), I noticed a lot of people with the same mini-van.

I later realized that it's all in our subconscious. When we own it, we tend to notice it more.

I have friends who tell me that they see their cars a lot, but I don't remember seeing their car much because I don't think about his car much.

Tell that to me with both my 1994 Ranger and 2001 ZX2 Escort. Every time I park next to a similiar car. I could have sworn it might be mine or theirs, but small details make it easy to ID my white ZX2 from the other white ones in town like the Scooby Doo front tag, Obama/Biden bumper sticker, lots of dents and dings so it was no problem I would know which white ZX2 is mine.

I own 2005 Silver Dodge Durango and I am seeing plenty around in KS. I drove by and owner saw me and smiled. There are time I parked at store parking lot, I went to store to shop then head back out. I forgot were I parked and saw several silver Dodge Durangoes around and I use my keyless remote control to find flashing brake light and press it. There it is!!

Back in 1970's I recalled my mom had 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible and she parked and another Mustang of similiar color and feature parked next to it. It was funny that after shopping, my mom tried to unlock the key. She was struggling cuz key won't turn. And the owner came out laughing and told her that it's my car and yours next to it. She said OOHH soorry!!! She was embarrassed and went to our Mustang and finally unlocked it and got in and took off.

I recalled when I was little, I ran to 1971 Ford Woody Stationwagon assuming it's my dad. I opened the door and sat in. The driver looked at me with puzzlement and I looked at him and cringed, realized I was in a wrong Stationwagon, I got out quickly and ran around and found my dad's similiar Stationwagon. I didn't see who's the driver first place because of reflection of windshield that blocks the view.

Years ago, I used to have 2001 Grand Caravan Sport and I was in the 6 lane highway and met up with 4 of similiar colored and size Grand Caravan Sport in a rare enounter. I followed them for few miles till I got off to my destination. Kinda weird to have 5 same colored and size van on highway. If I were speeding and got into speed trap, I coulda use that to confuse cop by meeting up with group of van and scramble it. So cop can't figure which is true guilty one!!!

I had a similar problem with my car once.

I went to the mall one day and then when I came outside, I saw 3 white-topped red convertible Lebarons parked next to each other. They all looked exactly the same.

I had to look inside the window to determine which car was mine.

When I was looking inside the window of the second car, someone else came along and asked me what I was doing looking in her car. I told her that I was trying to figure out which was mine. She said, "You're looking at mine!" I backed off and she proceeded to unlock her car. Her key didn't work. "Oops, I guess it really isn't my car. I told her that I already checked the first car. So, the third car would be mine. She then went to the first car and got in.
