Nighttime

Why does the darkness
Bring me to life
What about nighttime
Makes everything feel right

Is it the peace I feel
With no one around
Or the silence that comes
When there is no sound

There’s the pain of life
Which seems to fade away
When the sun goes down
And the night comes to play

Most people are sleeping
At this time of night
But I am wide awake
And everything’s just right
