The newspaper staff directly responsible for this should be punished. Dare I say executed for treason? People should be asking for a trial and sentencing.

then we should do same for any criminals.
but this is not conducive to any society. and whatever happened to second chance? this is not the kind of society I would want to live in.
That's the whole point, duh!!..but illiegal weapons would not even be recorded duh!!....
We need to find a treatment to cure the criminal and turn into law abiding citizen.

People say they want to know who the gun owners are in their neighborhoods. Well, listing licensed owners lets them know only which law-abiding gun owners live in their neighborhoods. It doesn't let them know where the gun-toting criminals live.
I don't think the ACLU will allow that kind of "therapy" in America.clockwork orange

I oppose! Send them to hell!We need to find a treatment to cure the criminal and turn into law abiding citizen.
What are the neighbors worried about? It looks like everyone in that area has a gun! Gasp! The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun — a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns — rifles or shotguns — which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so.

Then the neighbors have to be nice to each other, otherwise there will be a war. What are the neighbors worried about? It looks like everyone in that area has a gun! Gasp!
I have a question. If there's a gun license and a gun permit, what's the difference?
Is that a fact?
No, I watch news on TV or read news on internet about gun control. That's all I need to know. Just let me be, OK?yes. I can buy as many long guns as I want anytime as long as I have a valid NJ Firearms Purchaser Identification Card.
just a thought to think about - since you are clearly clueless about current gun laws... don't you think you should learn about it first before you suggest more gun laws/controls?
