New York police shoot, kill man who stabbed student in synagogue

 you don't work for the post office because you enjoy swearing at your boss?

I doubt you could really keep any job for long in that situation.

my bosses swear more than I do. and Lydia Callis' got a firsthand experience to see it all :)

I suppose that it's hard for deaf people to understand because perhaps they do not socialize or have conversations with their bosses. My bosses and I go to lunches/dinner/happy hours bunch of times.

. . . and I've never heard of such policy. A person can get fired for bad behavior. But getting fired for cussing? OH O-K.
Cussing is bad behavior.

That's too bad.

I'm not deaf, and I have socialized with my superiors and bosses, and I still don't understand why profanity is considered acceptable behavior.

um.... he asked me this - "Go use profanity in your job and see what the boss does to you."

and you asked a different question.

o...k...?
No, it's not ok. I ain't letting you get away with it this time.

Cussing is a part of bad behavior, especially at work. DUH!

in anger? yes

disparaging an employee or employer is an example. a fireable offense.
Not just anger or attached to some other behavior. Profanity, by itself, is offensive language.

oh ok. so you know everything at my works. sure I'm a liar.

yes. literally.

so you've never heard cussing at your workplaces? anybody got fired for it?

better to use profanity than a gun, better still cops have negotiating skill

Very rarely.

Not fired on a first offense but reprimanded.

noted.

Joker has asked me to "Go use profanity in your job and see what the boss does to you."

and I have. nothing happened. if nobody believes that, that's fine.

I never forgot one deaf 100% Italian co-worker, Joe in Boston. When his supervisor ordered him to follow instructions, Joe told him to fu*k off, then the supervisor responded "Fu*k you". I was like "that's cool". The supervisor who saw me in the way told me that Joe was a pain in the ass. I asked Joe if he would be going to get in trouble. He said no because his supervisor was cool since they were co-workers for a long long time before. That makes a big difference.

Back to the point, is a cop in trouble when he uses profanity like the cop who shot the guy? No. Many cops are like that.

swearing don't bother me but hate kids doing it in public people say it non stop and shouting it.

What did you say to your boss? "You are so fu*king pretty (handsome)"?

does it ever occur to you that perhaps I may have said something like "this computer is piece of shit?"

were you thinking that I'd say something like "fawk you" to my boss?

what? extremely unprofessional. Joe should be fired. and the supervisor should be reprimanded for not correcting an employee's bad behavior.

Oh, that's cute. In other words, you have not been there and done that.

That was 30 years ago. Joe should be fired? What about the supervisor who used the middle finger? They knew each other very well. Like I said before, the supervisor was Joe's co-worker for a long time. During that period, he picked on Joe who was deaf and gay (very feminine) so do you think the supervisor should fire him? No, he couldn't.

OK ! Come on guys this is not about a cop using a 4 letters word . The cop saved people lives and his own so who care how many 4 letters words he use .
At that point he can swear all he want , I am would not give a crap.
