New with question- what differentiates D/deaf and HoH?

You already have some great advice here. I really hope you decide to take an asl class as well. New languages are fun and help to widen your concepts of communication. It is also fun to meet new people, especially since you are shy. Good luck in your journey, and your quest for your self image. Glad you are posting!
