Hello everyone,
I'm a hearing person attending graduate school in special education and hoping to work at the high school level next year. I've been checking out the boards for a few days and have definitely become familiar with the rules and guidelines for posting. I'm very respectful but also unfamiliar with Deaf Culture so if I make any mistakes or hurt anyone's feelings, it's not intentional - just due to my own ignorance. I will likely have students in my classroom who are deaf or HOH and I'd like to learn anything I can at this point. These forums seem to be full of energetic people who are PROUD of their deafness. I like that a lot!
