Mac OS X Leopard to ship on October 26

Packed with more than 300 new features, Mac OS X Leopard goes on sale Friday, October 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers, Apple announced today. And, beginning today, customers can place pre-orders on Apple’s online store. “Leopard, the sixth major release of Mac OS X, is the best upgrade we’ve ever released,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “And everyone gets the ‘Ultimate’ version, packed with all the new innovative features, for just $129.” [Oct 16, 2007]

I already pre-ordered the update program since I bought the iMac recently. It's only $9 because I qualify inside their window of Oct 1 to Dec 29th.

^^
Sorry, I cannot give anyone copy of it. You got the money, so go buy it.

Oh cool about leopard...

For update program, it's too earlier for me because I bought iMac in late Aug then I'm not worried about that, not big deal for me, though.

I will planning to get 2nd Mac, as black Macbook in next couple of month or so.

I pre-ordered it the day they announced the release date.

I already pre-ordered yesterday! I have it shipped two day. That mean I should get it on Tuesday I am so exciting.

I got Leopard today from delivered at my home, it's pretty faster delivery. :)

Time for me to install now, good bye to Tiger.

Anyone get Leopard from delivery today?

I haven't got it because it's low priority so I will get it in a few days. Up to date orders are not shipped the same day it comes out. The people who paid $129 for will get it the same day. I can wait, of course. :)

I had installed it and it looks different from Tiger, it looks like itune-style background and new icons are replace old icons in some apps like System Preferences.

Sherlock was removed, same as DVD playback on Front Row was removed but there's DVD player and looks improved too, plus I haven't check whole of them.

Safari is now at 3.0.4 version, is it beta or final?

I had tested with Google Earth, Firefox andfew apps and it worked fine, no different from Tiger and only problem about Adium because too longer to login with black spin on Adium logo, it took about 1-3 min to login.

Mail and Safari is faster to load it than Tiger as well.

I'm impressed about new Leopard...

Warn about existing bootcamp on Tiger will be expires after leopard is release, it maybe stop to working.
When does Boot Camp Beta expire?

Oh well, I'm not surprised about it then it's time for me to buy leopard in next month.

Thought I could make this more clearer in this threat. The bootcamp's version 1.2 or earlier will expired ON LEOPARD. Only 1.3 and over will be able to run.

Thanks for the warning.

No, 1.2 and earlier are already expired in last month ago but 1.3/1.4 will expire in end of Oct, after Leopard release.

Read carefully
MacNN | Apple warns of Boot Camp expiration

Apple has already pulled bootcamp download off from website.

Bootcamp in Leopard is 2.0.

I read that one before. Sorry if I wasn't make it clear.

But I don't see 2.0 in apple.com/bootcamp, where did you get that information?

The apple said "To continue using Boot Camp at that time, upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard." I am going to order a lot of mini macs with Leopards for my work. That's why I want to be sure it have bootcamp ready which I just called the apple.
