Hey everyone, I am new here. My name is Zack, I join for chatting around and also I want to ask some questions.

I am living in Vancouver, Washington and am 20 years old (19 actually, but will be 20 this June). I am thinking about moving to Las Vegas or Reno, but not immedately, just like a few years later after my 21 age. I wonder if Las Vegas or Reno will be any good deaf place for me as my age? Also I heard that Nevada have no deaf school, but there is a Las Vegas Charter School for the Deaf, I am kinda confused. Also which Las Vegas or Reno have better deaf communities? Any resources I can check out about the deafies at Las Vegas or Reno or whatever in Nevada state?

Thank you and please welcome me ^-^

Why would you want to move there? There has to be a reason for moving there.

Anyway, welcome to AllDeaf! Enjoy your stay!

Good Question, VamPryoX. Reason why I want to move there is not just because of lights, casnio, whatever the Las Vegas represents, but that is still the reason! :) Other reason why I want to move there is because of my family tradition. My dad was used to live there. My anut and uncle are now living there, but they are old. My great grandmother is living there right now with my anut and uncle, but she is not going to stay alive any longer. So who will be left to live in Las Vegas that have same my last name? So that's why.

And thanks for welcome me!

Ah, I understand. Well, you're still young. You can always move elsewhere and spend more years there... finding a wife, having kids, etc.

When the time comes and you're retired, then you could move there. :)

Retire seems better ^-^

And thanks, Tweetybird :)

Neveda does have a deaf school... Lots of deaf events in Las Vegas... You are still a little boy going out in the Wide World... make more researches on it.. before you start thinking about relocation...

Me little boy? Nah I don't think so. I live on my own at a land with mobile home on it, and I work, earn $1,200 a month. I graduated 2 years ago. As I said, not immedately, I was actually asking about the deaf community at Las Vegas, not about moving there. I am more likely researching while asking you guys questions, I guess bailing on me that I am too young for Las Vegas is the answer. How lame..

Thanks for welcoming me here anyway.

well, welcome to AD and hope you feel warm welcoming here and good luck of your consideration, wink

Hello and welcome to Alldeaf! Maybe someday you'll 'gamble' your way down to LV or Reno-- However, you'll know when is the right time and where to move eventually, in the meantime, enjoy your stay here in AD! ;)

Have a great day!

Thanks Thanks ^-^

I would like to hear about the deafies in Las Vegas or in Nevada..

What I know about the deafies in Las Vegas, there's the Deaf Poker Tourament from Deaf Nation (I think?) and also there's Coffee Chat for the deafies.

About the deaf school in Las Vegas, I know there's a Las Vegas Charter School for the Deaf, but I visited their website and they only show the article saying that they are closed since 2004 and are looking for the space renting for deaf pre school.

Also I know there's a "Deaf Las Vegas" website, but too few informations there.

It seems like Nevada state has some problems about the deafies in Nevada, and I would like to give some help. Anyone knows about the deafies in Las Vegas or Nevada? I would like to hear about it. Thank you everyone.

Welcome aboard! :waves:

Wish I could be of help with Nevada but I don't know one bit about it.

^^^ Thanks and don't worry about it :)

Again don't worry about it, too. You're not a little boy lol, but you may have some restrictions, ya know? You are allowed to go and live wherever you want to. You have your own rights.
