He gave me some furniture he didn't need. This is just some of the neat stuff he gave me.

That was very nice of him. :)

Yes it was. We also went to lunch at Pete's Grill, and we discovered that place is totally Deaf friendly. It wasn't that way the last time I was there. They even had a menu for us to look at and make our choices, something they didn't have before.

Ditto that...and congrats, ChicagoBlue....I gave on oldest son a dining room suite not too long ago....they were happy to get it, as they had to eat standing up or at the breakfast bar with no stools....(young couple)...

I don't do chairs. Now shelves I can do. And I don't do tables, either.

you more than welcolm if you do

I'd like to do some exploring in other places someday. :hmm: I remember doing sanding a wooden dining room table and repainting it and polishing it. The project took about 3 months to finish. Felt good after it was-- it was in need of a major do-over.

Yeah, at Pete's, we talked about Cardinals baseball team. As a Cubs fan, I have great respect for St. Louis Cardinals. Not that I need to like them, but they are a good baseball team. It was a great joy talking to someone who has a passion for Cardinals.

Pete's Grill was very nice to Mark and me. I live about 10 minutes away from that place and I never ate there. I want to thank Mark for introducing me to that place. I would hope to visit this place again in the near future.

I'm very glad to hear that Mark is making a good use of those furnitures. Enjoy!!!

Working with wood is fun. You can be creative and whatnot. There are plenty of ways to make use of wood.

Not a professional...but I love to refinish furniture also. Did my Bamboo Bookcases last year...took quite a while...but they are beautiful and will last forever....Chose a Dark Walnut color to refinish them.
