New BlackBerry 8830 at Sprint?

I don't recall seeing this BlackBerry at Sprint before. So I think it a new BlackBerry 8830 released for Sprint.

Here the URL to Sprint Store but I have no idea if it can be used on Sprint plan for the deaf/HoH yet.

Nice! I will probably get BB 8703e....probably by end of the month or early next month for my B-day gift? ha!

Yeah they are totally different, 8830 is capable of GPS and 8703e is incapable of GPS.

8830 has more new features nagivator as 4.2 version. And 8703e is same 8700 series as 4.1 version.

8830 has trackball, 8703 has trackwheel.

8830 and 8703e's keybaord are totally different button design. 8830 keyboard is not space. Its close keyboard eachothers than 8703e. 8703e keyboard is very soild and foam factor!

That's all I know about these.

I suggest and encourage you go to research and resource before you buy it.

WARNING: I did experiment with iPhone. I have more hardtime with iPhone keyboard unlike blackberry or treo fully qwerty keyboard. I prefer any device with fully qwerty keyboard over iPhone.
 
Does BB 8830 support TAP? Sprint does force me to order the voice plan, oh damn... I hate voice plan, too expensive for my taste, just got for nothing.

then can you use DS stylus on iPhone if you have hard time to use touch keyboard.

as the demo show it seem it being design for index finger to typing not thumb. If anyone's index finger too fat, use pinky finger. lol

TAP plan belong to AT&T and for Sprint they are call Wireless Relay Service Data Plan but I do not know yet if Sprint cover the new 8830 on their plan yet. I will email Sprint and update my post on Carrier and their deaf plans at http://www.alldeaf.com/deaf-products-technologies/42948-phone-carriers-their-deaf-hoh-plans.html if they do.

But I am reading that Verizon disable 8703e GPS via firmware but not sure about Sprint thou. And you can get an external Bluetooth GPS receiver if phone carrier disabled it.

I don't care if you believe me or not. I have, right here on my desk, a Sprint 8703e with GPS. I use it with Blackberry maps (free) on occasion. Sprint 8703e's have GPS while Verizon 8703e's GPS is disabled. If that's not enough then go to Sprint website find the 8703e and then see the list of features right there on the page.
 
i don't know which is free for bb 8703e but found through sprint for specifty gps..link and other one for sprint navigation to purchase for $9.99/month. i guess almost same..

I downloaded BB Maps for free and use that with the GPS. The Sprint ones,k that you have to purchase, have more features, but this works great just the way it is.

I heard that they are selling blackberry 8830's with Sprint with a $29.99/month plan, but I don't see anything on SprintRelaySupport.com.SprintRelaySupport.com. I would suggest that if you want a 8830, that you contact your Sprint Relay rep at Sprint Relay Support Center.

And I know the GPS on the 8703e's and 8830s are enabled on Sprint, but if you want to use their special program called Telenav, you would have to pay extra per month. Someone I used to date had it and while it was a great service, I'm good with maps so I always used Google's Map program on the blackberry and it was good enough for me. Someone who really needs step by step directions could really benefit from the nav, just don't get stuck in a tree... *snicker*
