Don't run away. I think we have the modern Nostradamus.

Because people need to be aware of the potential for stem cell therapy. It would do away with the need for hearing aids, audiologists who dispense hearing aids, the need to be dependent on surgery for CI maintenance. What if America melts down - no batteries nor surgery if something breaks.
This is no joke. This has the potential to drastically improve the lives of many who straddle the worlds of hearing and deaf, who are not really accepted in either one.
The quality of my life is fine as a deaf person.
I'm diagnosed with what is considered to be a "severe" and "difficult to treat" case of bipolar (according to my psychiatrist).
I would appreciate it if you and kokomo would stop making inaccurate assumptions about me. Thank you.
Long story short, I look forward to the day I can get as much of my hearing back, so that I can enjoy music to its fullest. I enjoy music a lot. I love it. I can only imagine what a hearing person hears. In the meantime, I make do with what I have.

And you can thank Obama for opening the road to more research being done!
Good point Jillio.
Exactly. The quality of enjoyment on music would become so much better. The miracle of how hearing works is simply amazing. The possibility of that happening continues to grow each year as stem cell technology advances much more than the previous year.
Why, thank you. Just thought it was worth a reminder.
Who said a Deaf person can't enjoy music as much as someone who can hear normally? You are making alot of incorrect assumptions about something you do not have an understanding of.
Exactly. "Quality of enjoyment" is an entirely subjective measurement, and one that no one can make for another.
