Nervous Breakdown

Have you guys experience having this.. What cause you to have Nervous breakdown? How do you can solve this?

I been getting nervous breakdown alot of time and i alway have to go bath and relax with hot water and when you're done with bath.. you would have to put 2 sweat pants and 4 pair of socks.. 2 sweatshirt to get your sweat out and u will be fine..

How i got those.. whatever im toooo PISSED OFF or not enough engry inside of me.. I never got nevous breaKdown till i date one of my ex gf and she keep abusing me and i blew up hit her which i didn't mean to and that's how i got nervous breakdown.. being soooo COLD like you are in ICE body and u can't get warm if you are on winter jacket.. you would have to get really HOT water.. like boiling water it will helps.. when you are in tub.. i can feel my body is breaking like breaking ice.. it's hurts as hell!!! and affect me to dizzy after my body break the ice.. and i will have to take fever pill and I KO.. i end up with alot of sweating.. after a day, I feel better.. but i been getting this often from last year..

awww you poor thing.. two best things to do: 1) see a counselor for your emotions 2) see a dr about those symptoms you just mentioned.. because you cant live like this for the rest of your life.. it is not healthy..

i was physically abused myself by my ex fiance for 4 yrs.. i was emotionally and psychologically scarred... had to go for therapy for a long while to get over it.. but it was worthwhile because i am back to my oldself..

have u thought of trying out mediation qq from what i understand it helps calm the entire body, mind and soul and cleanse urself from the added stresses of life and be able to better handle stressful situations

Im not gonna to waste my money to see a Counselor.. all i simple to go dr.. they did help me yes yes but something isn't working.. so im still seeing differnt doctor.. but im keep postposing.. so finally i seattle down and i m having a dr appt on jan 4 so i will update with this..

ff.. i think she should seek counseling too.. cuz she went through a lot obviously.. and you dont know what meds to take.. so she is better off seeing a dr about that.. cuz you dont want to take the wrong meds or be dependent on meds for the rest of your life?? ya know what i mean??
 
also i found out if i keep drinking hot tea, it DO help alot.. which i feel better from this.. but again, i can't keep drinking too much or i will end up sick or whatever is that..

zesty -- yes i do know what u mean -- the counseling option is entirely a person's decision -- if the person do not want to see a professional counselor -- theres no way u can force them into it -- all suggestions are always appreciated by anyone who asks

i agree shes been thru alot i think -- there are many avenues available to try out without having to be put on meds i think -- if Coolie wants to try the various avenues shes free to do so if she wants to keep professional counseling as a last resort :dunno: thats up to Coolie tho
 
FF, maybe I am being too simplistic here but I kinda feel that meds might just "mask" the underlying emotional issues and that counselling might un-do the problems without having to be all drugged up......but, then again, what do I know? hehe

yea Tousi -- u also have a point there -- like ive said each person for their own -- they choose what they think is the best avenue that works for them

some ppl might become so dependent on the meds that "masks" the issues, that can also become a problem later on down the road

that is what i was trying to tell ff... thats why i strongly feel coolie should see a dr before just taking any meds.. ya know?? so thanks for clarifying that..

:slap: no one is perfect!! sometimes i am not good at explaining things.. so she explained it better than i did though.. but at least i tried though!! :P

Did your doctor actually tell you that they are nervous breakdowns? For some reason, it sounds like anxiety attacks to me.

Either way, you will need to learn how to do stress management. Ideas for stress relievers are:

Drinking tea
Hot baths
Walking
Exercise
Aromatherapy
Breathing
Yoga

etc...

Sounds like you are doing a few of these already and you are seeing a benefit there. Perhaps do a bit more research on other tips to help your stress levels down.

But, I think that the counseling will be the most beneficial of all but it sounds like you dont want to go to counseling. Perhaps you can read books or join a support group instead.

I'm not an expert by any means, Coolie, but it sounds to me like you are experiencing either panic attacks or severe anxiety attacks. If this is the case, you really should consider seeing a counselor. That person can teach you techniques that can help get your symptoms under control. Also, that person can be a form of support for you in general, and,they can help determine if medication might help you as well.

I hope you reconsider, because, you don't deserve to suffer like you are.
