Neighbors Want Family's Handicap Ramp Removed
WTH were they thinking?! They were thinking that the ramp had affected their property value. Ohhhh pleaseeeeee!

I would have probably found something about my neighbor's yard to gripe about if they had done that to me. Maybe even said "the color of your house is ...ugly .. and it is making my house less valuable being stuck next door to you". Either that, or I would have painted polka dots all over my house and placed pink flamingos all over my front yard. No HOA, yippee!!
Some people you just can't mend fences.
I don't know under what grounds the neighbors could successfully sue. They have no HOA, and the city approved the ramp. As long as they continue to maintain it (and it appears to be well built), then I see no basis for a suit.
Just wait until one of them has a stroke or an injury and their house needs some kind of modification. Ha!
I want to paint the house to rainbow color in your neighborhood.
I think I will receive mixed response from neighbors.![]()
Brooks said the city doesn't have a code that forbids homeowners from painting their houses in certain colors or schemes, however garish.
Since aesthetics was one of the reasons he was given as to why he couldn't use the turf, he said, "I decided if my turf wasn't aesthetically pleasing, I would would do something else that was not aesthetically pleasing and painted my house pink and purple polka dots."
In Georgia? That's cool.![]()
yeah, here they would say "Oh look at the pretty rainbow ... God's promise to never flood the earth again".

Interesting how dare they think the way to any kind of disabled people and Deaf wtih ASL users. jeez
There are many narcissistic people out there. Gosh, I have encountered too many of them who question me about my preference of using ASL instead of speech. They say, "But you talk so well!"
They aren't willing to understand other people's shoes.
The neighbors seem unwilling to put themselves in the family's shoes. They are probably incapable of it.
