Neglected Kids

Thanks Cheri :hug: Back@ya...I feel sorry for all those kids also. The millions that we don't even know about around the world. Those parents that don't want to take care of thier kids should but them up for adoption. Because their are plenty of parents that can't make kids would love to take care of them for the parents that don't.

I think thats great you let your son's friend stay with you while she works. Thats a great help for alot of people that would be willing to do that. My wife & I would have no problem doing something like that if they need us to. I know daycare is so expensive. & They all are not that great also. & Some don't treat the kids right. Either way I know I wouldn't take my kids there period. I have plenty of family that help out with them, especially my mother:)

Aww Jeremy! :hug: I'm with Jillio on this one, I too wish there were more people like you out in the society who have the heart for kids who are being neglected by their own stupid parents. Parents like that don't even deserved to have kids to begin with. I feel sorry for kids out there who are without nurturing and love by their own parents. or children who are abandoned by their own parents also. Jeremy, I am like you, I have so much heart for children, when I see one that is being neglect I'll go my way and help that child.

My son have a best friend who's mother works until 7 PM during the weekdays, she is a single mother like me, and she is not a person who would neglect her own son, But, she locked the apartment door until she arrived home to allow her son in their home. She could not even afford a day care for her own son, so I let him stay with us until his mother arrived home, he would eat dinner with us. I don't want him walking around outside all alone until 7 PM, Who knows what would happened to him, that's something I wouldn't be able to live with that myself. ;)

Thats great Angel :hug: I've always wanted to do the same thing. Becoming a volunteer & help with all the children I can. So many need that so bad. I have talked & worked with alot of kids. Even talk with young people online. I enjoy it so much, but can't help feel sorry for alot of them. Its so easy to get emotionally involved. But when you hear their stories & do what you can to help. Thats what means the most to them. So thats what makes me feel good inside. Just talking with them & saying & doing what I can to help them out no matter what the situation is..

Aww JLFWildKat, you sure have a good heart there...Not alot of people would do the same thing that you have done to this little girl, and having a person to talk to and advocate on the child’s behalf can make a huge difference too...and reaching out to children who struggle with abuse and neglect..It's sad that it's still happening around the world but I've always wanted to volunteer a program where they help children who's been abused and neglect because being a volunteers is having a heart of what we can do for those children by becoming a mentor, friend, and role model and all people have to do is to reach out and have a heart by helping these children...None of these children deserves to be abused or neglect, and yet it's up to each of us to make a difference in a child's life as what you did to this little girl... :)

Thats great racheleggert!! Thats all you can do is do your best to help those kids out. Although I know just like me you can only wish you could do more & more..Just seeing them smile is what matters most:)

I also asked them where their parents are.. they said they are at home. Kids was smelly, and look poor, like living in public housing project or something like that. I told them don't worry, candies are on me, and pick one, so I just took my 1.50 and paid for those kids. They asked me how to sign thanks.. so I did taught them that.

Other time, on saturday and sunday before session adjourned, there was so many kids wandering around my work and most parents who are lobbyists and legislators just let them fend for themselves off.... I feel so sorry. I wish they do something since my work isn't daycare. I wish that there is a onsite daycare but oh well....

Jfwildkat, your story touch my heart... :tears: I feel hurt after read your post about poor girl... I know from your posts that you are a wonderful person. No wonder why Sarah love you for your good and warm heart person...

Thank you Liebling. That happened over 10 years ago. I never seen her since that day. Makes me wonder what's happened to her since then:dunno: I hope she turned out ok:fingersx:

I reread this post, it made me think back when I was living in New York City. I was so saddened by seeing a mother with a baby girl were walking in the middle of the subway and asking for money. I m not kidding, they stunk and the kid was dirty and I didn't have enough money cuz i was on a mission and I only had 5 dollars on me. I gave the money to them.

I feel so sad to hear when children in America were not well taken care of. My husband and I were talking about there are welfare out there why can't mother or father get the chance to get some help for their children's sake?

I don't believe in starvation and dehydration. I believe we should nuture chlidren when they need to be fed. I hope my husband's children are safe and sound. I hope they are well taken care of.

And I HOPE all these children will be taken care of... gosh. I ll pray for them. It breaks my heart to see them going thru like that.
